One of the Waterfront's coolest attractions is the Wave Lagoon: a palm-fringed swimming pool that turns into a tube-riding, boogie-boarding bucket of fun when the waves roll in every 20 minutes. The fully patrolled Wave Lagoon is two metres at its deepest point and slopes to a shallow area of still water, perfect for families. Bring your book: there are plenty of banana lounges, beach umbrellas and shady patches of lawn. Aqua Zumba classes every Sunday from 9am are a HUGE hit with tourists and locals alike.

Didn't get to go in but there were lots of holiday makers enjoying the waves! We come from a tourist place by the sea with beautiful beaches so it's great to see those without our sandy shores enjoying a similar day at the beach. Kids love it. There's safety officers on duty too! Great idea Darwin

We were staying in the hotel right next to the wave pool - and the kids (11 & 9) were super keen to try it out. They absolutely loved it - a couple of hours zipped by. And very good value as a family

A day pass here is good value for a family. Different wave patterns make it interesting. Inflatable tubes and boogie boards available

Had great fun down at the Wave lagoon, Water was a cold 24c! It's a great modern facility that is close to several food outlets, coffee shops and the wave lagoon staff & lifeguards are very helpful and seem to know everything. I was surprised how cheap it is for a day Adult 15yrs over $7 Children 3yrs - 14yrs... More

Great spot. Great pool. Well priced with wrist bands meaning you can come and go - and enjoy a day out. 20 minute waves!! The lifeguards at MSAC need to take a leaf out of your book - our 2 minute waves are often 1 minute!!

No crocs in this pool, just lots of fun. We took a group of intellecually disabled kids for a day outing in the wave pool. They had the greatest time. It was safe, cheap(less than $7 per person) and there were free pool toys for the kids to use. Lots of lay back chairs with shade for the parents to... More

It's hard to go past the wavepool for a great day out for kids of ALL ages. So cheap - you pay your entrance fee once only and can stay as long as you like. We took a picnic and had the best time. LOADS of sunscreen required. You can use their boogie boards and blow-up tubes to catch the... More

I had a great day at the Wave Pool only draw back was you can get extremely sun burnt due to no shade whatsoever over the Pool. No toilet inside the wave area which is a bit of a nuisance if you have young children. Reasonable price to get in.

We didn't actually get to swim in it as we forgot out togs, but even standing next to it was fun, it was full but not packed, and everyone was clearly having fun. Wish we had time to go back.
