It can be fun but you can scrape your knees on the rough hard floor which to me seems stupid, why a softer ground wasn't picked, who knows. The waves are great but if it gets packed it is dangerous especially if people use boards...More

Easy family day lazy by the wave park, they have lifeguards on duty and you have a constant wave being generated all the time so great for the kids. They also have some smaller wading pools for the toddlers

If you can’t get into a private swimming pool this is the next best thing for Darwin city. Well done and plenty big enough. Great and easy location as well.

It was nice to get into some water while in Darwin without the worry of being stung by box jellyfish. Or bitten by a croc for that matter. The pool is very well supervised by a team of lifeguards and the person at the ticket...More

What a great afternoon out when the waves come it’s a bit like you imagine what it would be like in a washing machine. Great fun lovely warm water we all had a great time our age range was from 15 to 66.

I would recommend parking in the waterfront car park and pay parking at the pay station when leaving. The wave lagoon is in the waterfront complex. We found this most convenient with our children.

Potential Itinerary for a 4 night trip to Darwin! (1 Replies)
I was hoping to get some insight to a potential itinerary to Darwin. This is my first time visiting Darwin and want to make the most out of my stay. Please let me know if it possible, or if i'm trying to cramp too much in a short amount of time. Is there anything you suggest to visit or anything listed you would recommend doing. With Car hire, I have noticed they do not offer 'Unlimited Kilometers' is this common in NT? Any advise is greatly appreciated! Day 1 - Arrive into...More

Your itinerary is not the usual- what are your interests ? There are many tours that offer some diverse activities/ You have 3.5 days when are you visiting ? Mitchell st is carnage later in the evening- depending on what age group you are in- you may enjoy getting the excitement of eatching people totally tanked to the eyeballs and ensuing shenangigans. OR not. Casino is nowhere near Micthell St. You would need to get a taxi - it is a 7 min cab ride. Mindil beach in itself is...More
