Great little market by the beach. Fantastic place to have a bite, wander through the arts, craft and cultural stores then listening to the evenings musical talents whilst watching the sun go down.

I have been to the Markets several times over the past decade and this time i was disappointed. Plenty of food options, however the shopping stalls seemed to be less and the produced not as expected.

I found the market Highly entertaining and there were lots of varieties of crafted goods in the market. Foods are quite nice and you can walk from one stall to another to try different dishes. You get a bali flavor when you see the little stalls for dresses and accessories. Good place to visit with friends and family.

I visited the Mindil Beach Market several time during the dry season. I love the clothes, the little handmade stuff they are selling there. And you have plenty choices of food there, mostly Asian food. After you get yourself something to eat, just go to enjoy the sunset on the beach! A unforgettable memory!

We took friends who hadn't been to Darwin before, to the Mindil Beach Markets and they loved it as much as we do. Endless food from a vast array of cultures, awesome art and craft through to good priced clothing...and joining the crowd to watch the sun set over the ocean, followed by a huge cheer was breathtaking!

Best markets I've been in Australia! Huge number of stalls by local and other craftsmen against the magnificent Darwin sunset. The choice of food makes life hard (a good problem to have!).

Secondly the Sunset Oyster Bar was completely out of Oysters at the Oysters Bar and was only serving squid and fish... More

A good spot to see the sunset, but don't go in the water a salty might get you. Take a meal and enjoy a beach walk afterwards.

The markets were excellent, music was great & the food choices magnificent. We were in walking distance to the beach so was very handy. The beach was packed with locals & tourists to see the beautiful sunset.

I have been to this beach twice, both times the Markets were on so it was extremely busy! The beach it self is nothing special but the Sunset is spectacular. Take some camping chairs, picnic blanket or even a towel to sit on, get there early and settle in a spot for the best views and to avoid the crowds... More
