Must do. Enjoy the sunset.

Like so many, we visited the Mindil Beach Markets then headed onto the beach to watch the sunset. It was incredible and made me realise how seldom we slow like to take pleasure in the simple things - like a glorious sunset over the water. The kids loved finding heaps of hermit crabs and when the sun did finally set there was a gentle round of applause from the crowd. Magic.

Awesome markets

Great location by the beach and wide range of food choices. The foods are of high quality. Good ambiance with a band playing music whilst people are enjoying their food. Very well patronised by locals and tourists alike. Came back the second time just got the food.

When in Darwin ...
Sep 2021
When in Darwin one has to go to the Mindil Beach markets. And so we did. Great variety of foods available. Relaxed feel (like the whole of Darwin). Obligatory sunset watching.

Well worth the visit.

We visited during some car racing in Darwin and it was crazy busy. This was the markets and you could hardly move there were so many people. The food we managed tp purchase was good. Lemon drinks were delicious. Big range of food stalls and other goods as well. Quite a lot to keep everyone amused with the different buskers. Of course everyone sits on the beach for the sunset. It really was spectacular. Beforehand we walked on the beach and saw many hermit crabs. Would love to go back when it isn't so busy and also when the markets aren't on. We caught the bus which was super cheap and easy.

Lovely Beach
Aug 2021
After visiting the Casino for lunch, we took the short walk from there to Mindil Beach. There is a clear view out across the ocean and it has a nice little bay with a good beach area.

Busy and Noisy
Sep 2021 • Couples
We happened to visit the market on territory day so it was very very busy that made it difficult to get around and to get near the stalls. But I can understand how folk live the color, noise and atmosphere.
