Top End Day Tours runs the one-day Arnhem Land Day Tour (formerly run by Lords) and is the only tour operator in the NT to run day tours from Darwin to Arnhem Land.

For many, this tour is a once in a lifetime experience and opportunity to interact and learn about the oldest living culture in the world with local Aboriginal history.

We visit and climb Injalak Hill which has some of western Arnhem Land’s most amazing rock art sites. We visit Injalak Art & Craft Centre where guests have the opportunity to browse or purchase goods from this non-profit Aboriginal organisation and watch local Aboriginal people painting and weaving pandanus baskets.

With its stunning scenery of billabongs, birds, escarpment, Arnhem Land is truly a place where you can escape and experience this unique untouched haven of the Northern Territory.

Tour includes all permits, Aboriginal guide, lunch and snacks.

This is a brilliant tour. Petra is an excellent leader, a competent driver, is highly knowledgeable about the area, its history, flora and fauna and nothing is a bother to her. We felt very well looked after. The fascinating explanations from skilful local guide Roland, about the rich and beautiful rock art, indigenous traditions and lifestyle, rate among the best... More

We had a fantastic one day tour of Arnhem Land visiting the Injalak Arts and Craft in Gunbalanya to see artists at work, then climbing Injalak Hill to see some fantastic rock art with our very experienced and passionate guide Roland. It was a very hot and humid day and the rock art tour takes about 3 hours but the... More

A wonderful and moving experience, not to be missed! As soon as Locky picked us up at Jabirru we were in for a treat. He obviously loves the land. We saw jabirrus, brolgas, a sea eagle and other birds. At the Cultural Centre, he introduced the artists - it was a honour to meet them and watch Glen work. The... More

Loch is a young passionate tour leader with a great knowledge of the area and respectful regard for the aboriginal community. Visited the Injalak Arts centre and watched and talked to the artists. The painting was amazing, such fine brush strokes being painted on bark and archival paper. My favourite was the ladies fibre art. They had been out the... More

You cannot come to the Top End and not do this tour. We had a fabulous day with Lochie our guide who was so knowledgable and genuine in his love of the area. We visited spectacular rock art sites and spent time at the Injalak Art Centre learning from the local Indigenous artists about their painting and weaving techniques. Saw... More

Dont miss this tour - its a fantastic day out - the change in scenery after Cahills Crossing when you enter the floodplains and stony escarpment (sandstone cliffs) of Arnhem Land is amazing and beautiful- we saw brolga, jabiru, magpie geese and of course crocs - - we got the best of both worlds on our tour - a tropical... Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Arnhemland. Watching the artist work at the art centre was a privilege. To see the ladies make the pandanus art gave me a true appreciation of their work. The rock art was outstanding and I gained a greater understanding of its meaning to the owners. Our lunch stop was breathtakingly beautiful. Great guides to show... More

Had a great day with lachy and our local guide willy. Loved watching Gabe paint with such precision. Treck up the hill and the rock art was wonderful, but the highlight was the amazing view we had whilst having lunch on a rock ledge. Only suggestion would be a cup of coffee/tea with more than a biscuit when we arrive... More
