The tour is broken into three segments – the past, the present and the future. Past: learn how ancient cultures used the night sky for mythology, orientation and to predict upcoming seasons. Present: an opportunity to explore the night sky with telescopes, iPads and binoculars. Our resident astronomer will point out different constellations, stars and planets. Future: the evening concludes as you sit back and relax, while your guide contemplates what may be around the corner for astronomy and humankind. Astro Tour: This star gazing tour will take you on a fact finding journey through the southern night sky, enhancing your knowledge on astronomy and its beginnings. Your resident astronomer will guide you through the evolution of the Universe. Take a moment to explore the vast night landscape with teh use of telescopes, binoculars and iPads. Learn how stars are formed, why they produce light, the lifecycle of a star, the theory of "the Big Bang" and much more. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to have your questions answered in an Australian outback classroom.

A very pleasant experience. First the sunset and then a lovely dinner under the stars. The star talk was corny and we would have preferred some understanding of the aboriginal vies of the stars Once again AAT Kings were late picking us up!

Slipped in between afternoon at Uluru and watching the sunrise at Uluru the next morning, this was a fantastic complement to the trip. There was plenty to drink, the food was great and the view of the stars was mind-blowing. To be out in the...More

We spent a very happy couple of hours one evening in Yalara with Sean and his colleagues - all very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining. The team were great fielding questions and pitching responses at the right level, without ever being patronising. With excellent telescopes we...More

This is a major attraction and feature of a visit to the red centre, and is not to be missed. It combines a sunset viewing of Uluru and also Kata Tjuta in the distance, some indigenous dancing and didjeridoo playing followed by the excellent dinner....More

I celebrated my sisters bday on this dinner; the staff were amazing, food was good. Information was great. It's quiet expensive but it's definitely worth it.

The Sounds of Silence dinner was a very memorable and special evening. We chose this night to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in late February. As everyone agrees, it is quite overpriced for what you get, even if it is in the middle of nowhere....More

Hi All-- We are visiting this August (2017) and are looking for an experience to see the Milky Way, stars, planets, etc. The Milky Way should be very visible the night we are there (August 21) because the moon is virtually dark. We thought maybe we could hire a private tour guide with some knowledge of the Milky Way, stars, planets. There are four of us. But I think what I am seeing is group tours and not private tours. I was just curious if there are any "private" or very small groups available. If not, any tour would be great. Regards, Jan
