There is great food but facilities need some attention
This place needs a huge renovation. Note it is not a working farm and serves only as a accomodation stop. Toilets needs significant upgrading. Benefit many campsites have a shelter that can be sued for cooking. What is a must is the food. The cafe at the front is worth a stop regardless if you are staying or not.

Best family accomodation in Kings Canyon
Stay here if you are travelling to Kings Canyon. You can drive 30km’s to the canyon and back again easily. Great playground and camel talks for the kids, great food, cute fire pits at all the powered sites and staff were awesome. This is the best place to stay in the area - way better than the Discovery Park up the road!

    Absolutely breathtaking.
We stayed in the Drovers Dream accomodation for two nights. The most wonderful experience of our trip. Spectacular views from brilliantly appointed room. Fantastic dinners ready in the refrigerator daily for us to cook on the bbq adjacent to our verandah. Full cooked breakfast at the station each morning. Staff were exceptional. I would highly recommend this authentic and luxurious experience. It was everything the advertising promised and more!

    Basic facility in the outback
Very basic facility - not even a kettle to boil water. The showers look old and rust, but did have hot water. The campsits are bare dirt and hard to put pegs in. The stars at night are amazing if you move away from the lights of the camper vans. The burgers are great, if you have the patience to wait, as they were really busy.

    Beautiful kings creek station
We stayed two nights in their glamping tent accommodation . I did not realise it was 30mins drive from kings canyon but was so worth it . The accommodation was amazing , the people at the stations reception and cafe accommodating . The staff organised a simple breakfast that we could take to the tents at very little cost and enabled you to get an early start instead of wasting time to go to a cafe and wait . The solitude was beautiful and the views spectacular , even had your own outside fire pit . Highly recommended

    Basic but clean
While the tents were tiny, they were clean. The shared bathrooms were well maintained too. The food and beer were great, and the people were friendly. Love the camel burger.. However, like most accommodation in the Red Centre, it's expensive. But then again, there weren't many options available at Kings Canyon.

    Luxury and Delicious Cuisine
This was the "splurge" for our holiday and Drovers Dream did not disappoint. The very roomy tents were equipped with everything you could possibly want. They were private with magnificent views. We took the meal package . A fully cooked breakfast was available at the cafe; the pre-selected dinners were placed in our fridge for cooking on our own BBQ when we were ready. The salads, sides etc were amazing and so fresh.

    Great glamping experience
We stayed in one of the Drover's Dream glamping tents for 3 nights for our wedding anniversary. Our accommodation had a beautiful view of the Macdonnell Ranges and was lovely and peaceful. Bed was very comfortable, full ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities. Plenty of food supplied each day to cook dinner on the barbecue, which was great after spending the day hiking. Buffet breakfast each day about a five minute drive away. 35 km drive to King's Canyon. A beautiful place to stay.

Kings Creek Station has changed hands just after Covid started. The new site managers David and Julie started working here on the 18th July 2020, they have got the station going opening up to the public on the 1st September 2020. When we arrived, Julie has a pleasant bubbly nature, which was received well. The station has a cafe which servers great meals, The burgers are great and the camel burgers are big, all meals are great serves, the Chef makes great wedges, and onion rings, and steaks. Coffee is good as well. All staff are great. The pool was being filled while we were there, but wasn't able to be used when we were there, lots of sanitizing spray available, amenities are good, plenty of hot water, a mixture of accommodation is available. Caravan sites are mostly level and there is a mixture of powered and unpowered. We could hear the dingos howling at night, the camels are fed at 3.00pm and Bruce the donkey who thinks he is a camel gets in on the act. Fees are average for this area at $50.00 per night for a couple with power and water, single travellers are charged as a single. Fuel is available also.
Wine and Beer and Souvenirs are available for guests to purchase.

A great spot to explore the Kings Canyon area.

We booked here as we were keen to walk the Canyon , We chose the Drovers Accomodation at this station ( only 20 min from the Canyon) that was more in our budget and it was more than just accomodation! You are taken up to a ridge that overlooks the stunning McGill range and have a large Camp kitchen and dinner table all undercover , then they give you an intro to the area including complimentary Drinks , ( it has all mod con facilities hot showers/ WC ) then at 6.30 the Station Chef comes up and cooks you a Steak Dinner ! We had Yoshi and Will that entertained us with story’s of living at the station , he then built us a great campfire and left us under the stunning stars ! We slept in an enormous Swag off the ground and woke to the Sunrise Over the Ranges . We then drove back to the Station HQ (5klms) and they gave us a Hot Buffet Breakfast all included in the package !
Unfortunately Our experience with other accommodations in the NT ( Uluru) were not anything like we experienced here and were disappointing at best .
Don’t hesitate to try this World Class Experience !
“ More than just a room ! 🇦🇺

The Bush Tents are horrifyingly overpriced for what you get!
We paid $237 per night for 2 pax (we stayed for 2 nights) to get 2 x single beds in an extremely small tent with air-con/heating and shared facilities.
We could not move in our tent when we unpacked our car.

I am more than happy to stay in basic accommodation but not for this price! If I had paid under $100 for this per night I wouldn’t have an issue. I know it’s a remote location but come on, this is highway robbery!

You have to pay for wifi, there is the worst 1 ply toilet paper supplied in the shared bathrooms and you don’t get your room cleaned daily.

Very disappointed with my choice of staying here. I feel so ripped off and have felt this way since arriving and seeing our accommodation.

Yes breakfast is included which was good (bacon, eggs, hash browns, baked beans and sausages) however it was let down with the very cheap instant coffee. Our 1st day the breakfast was cold which was disappointing but the 2nd day was much better.

Burgers are reasonably priced and quite good. Timing is not ideal. You have to order by 6:45pm to get your dinner. When you are out trying to enjoy the sunset from your tent, you have to be watching the time so that you don’t miss out.

All in all, stop in for a burger and a beer but don’t be like me and get ripped off with the Bush Tents.

Unfortunately the bush camping experience did not equate to enjoyment. It was extremely basic. Breakfast was included in the inflated price we paid of over $200 per night! Breakfast was awful. No cereal no fruit no choice. After the first morning we took some bread back to the bush kitchen to cook toast in the toaster. However the toaster was broken - half worked after some coaxing. Paper plates and plastic knives were provided. The cafe where burgers could be purchased for dinner was good. The burgers and chips were great. Staff there were friendly and helpful. Being able to use the laundry for washing was good. Thank you for providing that facility but please reconsider breakfast and the price of your bush tents.

You don't get a huge amount for your money when you stay at Kings Creek Station but it is a long way from anywhere and most things here tend to cost quite a bit more. Our tent (on solid floor with two single beds) was a bit of a squeeze but was sturdy and a good buffer to the cold and the wind. The bathroom facilities were basic but everything worked, while the camp kitchen was pretty good. Even surprised to find wine glasses in there. (We were able to buy a bottle at the cafe - reasonably priced, too - and after our late arrival that definitely helped us settle in). Ended up having a friendly chat with other travellers around the camp fire. Big hot breakfast was part of the tariff, and that gave us a good start to the day on each of the two mornings we were here. Two nights was enough, however.

We stayed in the luxury glamping accommodation where dinner, beverages and breakfast are all included. This was a once off experience glamping in outback Australia. Jess and Ross have thought of everything to make your stay memorable and comfortable It was just superb. We had an outdoor bath and shower which added to the ambiance. It’s certainly an experience we will remember.

Situated in some of the most spectacular country in central Australia, Kings Creek Station is an ideal base to explore the region. We stayed in the Mort Conway Camp, luxurious tented accommodation- ensuite, air conditioning, very comfortable bed and only a few kilometres from the excellent cafe at the station which provided our breakfast and dinner. Friendly and efficient staff gave us great service. A flight in the on-site helicopter let us explore even more of this truly amazing area - the Middle Ranges with their spectacular colours and rock formations a highlight.

We had an excellent stay. The bush tent was cozy, with my teen and I on beds and my 7 year old in a swag on the floor between us, which was fine for the 3 nights. The tents are sturdy and we felt protected from the wind and rain, but close to nature which we loved, also close to the facilities. The aircon was a real plus, and the were nights were mild so we didn't need the heating. The amenities, including the bathrooms and shared kitchen, were clean and had everything we might've needed for a BBQ or self-catering, including 2 fridges (with ice) a microwave, disposable plates and cups and even wine glasses. The kids loved visiting the camels, hanging out at the playground and the pool, even though it was a bit too cold to swim. The cooked breakfast is great, and the store offers a limited range of snacks (better to bring your own), the menu was limited (mostly sandwiches and burgers), but the food and drinks were generally good. The staff are friendly and informative, the whole feel of the place is very relaxed and it was an unforgettable experience, we would love to stay again. Great location for visiting Kathleen Springs (a must-see) as well King's Canyon.
