Glorious glamping
Jun 2021 • Couples
We stayed in the luxury glamping accommodation where dinner, beverages and breakfast are all included. This was a once off experience glamping in outback Australia. Jess and Ross have thought of everything to make your stay memorable and comfortable It was just superb. We had an outdoor bath and shower which added to the ambiance. It’s certainly an experience we will remember.

Ok for stop over
May 2021
Called in on our way to kings canyon for a drink and something to eat.

Food ok service was a little cold, being an outback place would have thought you would be at least greeted with a hello!!!

Good to have a look at camels but that’s it, never stayed in the accomodation.

Prices ok with the remoteness.

HIghly Recommended Experience
May 2021
We had an excellent stay. The bush tent was cozy, with my teen and I on beds and my 7 year old in a swag on the floor between us, which was fine for the 3 nights. The tents are sturdy and we felt protected from the wind and rain, but close to nature which we loved, also close to the facilities. The aircon was a real plus, and the were nights were mild so we didn't need the heating. The amenities, including the bathrooms and shared kitchen, were clean and had everything we might've needed for a BBQ or self-catering, including 2 fridges (with ice) a microwave, disposable plates and cups and even wine glasses. The kids loved visiting the camels, hanging out at the playground and the pool, even though it was a bit too cold to swim. The cooked breakfast is great, and the store offers a limited range of snacks (better to bring your own), the menu was limited (mostly sandwiches and burgers), but the food and drinks were generally good. The staff are friendly and informative, the whole feel of the place is very relaxed and it was an unforgettable experience, we would love to stay again. Great location for visiting Kathleen Springs (a must-see) as well King's Canyon.

Bush tent *1
May 2021 • Couples
Unfortunately the bush camping experience did not equate to enjoyment. It was extremely basic. Breakfast was included in the inflated price we paid of over $200 per night! Breakfast was awful. No cereal no fruit no choice. After the first morning we took some bread back to the bush kitchen to cook toast in the toaster. However the toaster was broken - half worked after some coaxing. Paper plates and plastic knives were provided. The cafe where burgers could be purchased for dinner was good. The burgers and chips were great. Staff there were friendly and helpful. Being able to use the laundry for washing was good. Thank you for providing that facility but please reconsider breakfast and the price of your bush tents.

Overpriced and taking advantage of its remote location
May 2021

We spent two nights at Kings Creek Station and were very disappointed with aspects of our stay. We understand we were in a remote location ( we have stayed in many) and that we are emerging from a pandemic, but this cannot excuse the lack of hospitality and generosity given to guests by some staff.
A small dust covered tent is provided with barely room for two single squeaky beds ...... the door knob proved a frustrating challenge with every entry and exit. No broom was provided to sweep out the constant and totally expected red dust. The swimming pool was dirty and was full of wasps
. The “Camp Kitchen” was so ill equipped it was unbelievable. No cups, no plates and an old opened packet of plastic teaspoons .....no lighter for the gas stove .... an old fridge (which was full even though there were only a few guests) .....and an ancient microwave. The hot water tap had been removed making it difficult to wash dishes and adhere to COVID regulations At $200 per night this is vastly opportunistic and overpriced. Cafe and restaurant staff were a saving grace ...very helpful and pleasant. Surely each guest could have cup/plate /cutlery provided in their tent with tea and coffee sachets. A little generosity and hospitality goes a long way to keeping guests happy. We would not recommend the bush tent option......though the camping area looked great.

Stop over
Apr 2021 • Couples
Recommended to stop on our way to kings canyon.
Didn’t look open when we pulled up, a bit tired and run down.
The cafe staff member was uninterested and service was basic.

Kind and helpful staff, facilities need upgrading
Apr 2021
Basic bush tent but as advertised and comfy beds with air conditioning. Shared toilets/shower facilities and kitchen facilities poor - obviously under-staffed so we felt sorry for the staff that were there as they were obviously over-stretched. Quick a few things were broken e.g. door handles, lights etc so they should focus on getting these simple things fixed. Although website advertised activities - none were working and it definitely was not a working cattle station which we thought it would be from reading the website. Pool was nice and refreshing. Restaurant was very limited with only sandwiches and burgers being served until 7pm but Sam the chef was very friendly and all other staff (including receptionist was kind and helpful.) Overall - score would have been lower if it had not been for the staff and service.

Outback hospitality
Apr 2021 • Solo
This was my second trip to Kings Canyon, my first time to stay at the station. I booked a bush tent, which was simple and comfortable enough. Bonus points for turning on the air con before visitors arrive!
The tent itself was sparse but exactly as advertised. Small, with a small porch as well. Bathroom facilities were basic but generally clean. The camp kitchen unfortunately wasn’t stocked at all even with basic cutlery or crockery, and the fridge needed a good clean out. However, you are in the outback so don’t expect the same as you’d expect in a 4 star place in the middle of Sydney.
The staff was nice and helpful. It would be nice for them to have name badges though, so we knew who we were talking to.
Overall, the amenities were reasonable to what you’d expect given location, and the service was pleasant.

Great Outback Accomodation
Feb 2021 • Couples
We stayed the last 2 nights and have a great stay. The flies 🪰 were the only downside but that’s Australia. Close to Kings Canyon easy to get to for a morning hike. The breakfast at the station is amazing, great coffee, the pool is clean and nice and cold. The staff are very helpful and very good for local things to do and history. A cool glamping experience.
