About Outback Cycling
Our Alice Springs MOUNTAIN BIKE TOURS are customised to your experiences, needs & wants. We venture into the bush that surrounds Alice Springs and ride some of the most amazing and unique mountain bike trails in AUSTRALIA (while on the look out for wallabies & kangaroos). You will be treated to views of the town that only the locals get to see. Our trails are Alice’s best kept secret! Not into the trails? We also offer a VELO EXCURSION TOUR, all on solid ground. You can immerse yourself in all the diversity that our frontier town has to offer. Enjoy a picturesque 4km bike ride alongside the dry Todd River bed into the National Park, learn about the original town settlement at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station and enjoy an NT roasted barista coffee, home baked cake and a stroll through the Trail Station Cafe Gift Shop. Next your guide leads you to Yubu Napa Art Gallery, where original and contemporary Indigenous artworks are showcased. Rather ride solo? Bike hire also available!

The outback near Alice Springs has some of the best bike trails in Australia, but newcomers can find it challenging to find and navigate them. This tour makes it easier by traveling with a guide, and lets bikers choose between a day or nighttime mountain ride and a gentler ride through a national park. Plus, some trips make planned stops at local cafes and art galleries showcasing indigenous artists.

There are a few ways to see immense, grand Uluru, or Ayers Rock. Guided tours and walks have their strengths, but bike rides make it a pleasure to travel around the rock’s 9-mile (15 kilometers) path on a self-guided tour. This 3-hour bike rental leaves you plenty of time travel at your own pace and make stops when you’d like. Plus, opt for pickup and drop-off within the Ayer’s Rock Resort.

Pace of the cycle and our guide Jenn was great. Would have loved to have done more off roading as that was the Best part. Happy that this was one of the Ghan options offered.

We enjoyed a great mornings ride with Jenn around the outskirts of Alice, up to telegraph station and past the original Alice Springs, travelling mostly on concrete paths, but interspersed with a few shingles and occasional sandy tracks, which were negotiated by everyone relatively easily...More

Outback Cycling offer a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some of the city highlights on a bike. The tour guide Jen is a genuine star and the vibe of the activity is relaxed but sporty enough for most mature visitors.

The trail around uluru was very sandy and you ended up pushing more than pedaling for the first half. And the bikes were rather old, and not very adjustable (my daughter wanted the handlebars lowered - not possible).More

Hey there Mewett_Family Wow, THANK YOU! That's really fantastic to discover you hired our bikes in both of our locations, Uluru and Alice Springs. It sounds like your family had a great Central Australian adventure :) Thanks very much for the 5/5 stars! Jenn
