Tours and Tickets by Outback Cycling
Overview
There are a few ways to see immense, grand Uluru, or Ayers Rock. Guided tours and walks have their strengths, but bike rides make it a pleasure to travel around the rock’s 9-mile (15 kilometers) path on a self-guided tour. This 3-hour bike rental leaves you plenty of time travel at your own pace and make stops when you’d like. Plus, opt for pickup and drop-off within the Ayer’s Rock Resort.

What a great way to travel around the rock. We had walked the day before. This let us revisit and realise how much we hadn't seen the first time and to dwell in places a bit more. Saw a few more birds and took a few more side tracks to explore caves. At this time of the year going early or late in the day to avoid the heat is best. The track for a very inexperienced and not very fit cycler was fine.

The staff are knowledgable & helpful. To make the most of the fantastic many & varied tracks & trails; I recommend hiring the electric mountain bike which is so much more comfortable & capable on the trails. When it starts to get hot at 10am; it is soooo good to have the electric motor to help you along. Great fun if you start early!

Hired a 'townie' for two days. Alice Springs has a good network of tracks along the River Todd. Rode out to Old Telegraph Station on very good concrete tracks. Came back one day via Stuart Highway. Really good and helpful service and arrangements. Thanks very much

Unpredictable booking because it was first confirmed and the day after it was cancelled without an explanation. Of course we were disappointed. We can´t understand why they suddenly cancelled.

I rented the cheapest bike for a day. Even though it was the cheapest it was an excellent bike. Very sturdy, perfect condition, 21 gears. Just be careful not to skip too many gears or the chain might jump off (as with all bikes). Was an absolute joy to cycle on. Enabled me to go to School of the Air and Simpson's gap, places I wouldn't have been able to see, or only with great hassle. Price is very reasonable. Staff is friendly. Got a very professional impression. They clearly know what they are doing.

Hi Cedric A! We are delighted to read such a glowing bike hire review. The bike you rented is a Specialized Roll - we do find our customers absolutely love them! It sounds like you would have had a big day in the saddle if you went to Simpson's Gap and School of the Air, nice one!! Hope you enjoyed your time in The Alice. Happy travels, Jenn
