Outback Cycling Alice Springs are your bike tour and rental specialists. Our certified mountain bike guides know the regions cycling trail network to its fullest extent. Without a worry, you can follow your guide through world-class single-track and visit the spots that only locals know about. Most noteworthy are our sunrise and sunset mountain bike tours. Once the sun hits the horizon, the desert comes to life with a dazzling array of colours projected onto the West and East MacDonnell Ranges. Native wildlife sightings are also common at dawn and dusk. Velo Excursion Tours are suitable for those wanting to delve deeper into the rich history of Alice Springs. On comfortable town bikes, your guide will take you to the Alice Springs Telegraph Station and a local art gallery, showcasing both European and Indigenous culture and history. We have a vast fleet of hire bikes (including electric), so exploring on your own is also possible!

Had an awesome day in Alice hiring Stealth electric mountain bike and exploring the excellent mountain bike trails in local area.
The service from Owners and the product was excellent .

Very easy set up, catering for all sizes and ages. Friendly staff with good advice. Bikes were of good quality and certainly good enough for our ride to Simpsons pass.

We really enjoyed the sunset tour with Jen. We booked as a group of four women. The riding was quite challenging for beginners and was excellent riding for the one member of our group with some prior MTB experience. Riding single track at night was the a highlight as it is quite a different experience. The single front suspensions bikes were excellent to ride. I would give 5 stars for this tour except that it is quite expensive.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience of our Sunset/Night MTB Tour. It was great to meet the four of you - a very humorous group! I'm thrilled I had the privilege of taking you out for your first night mountain bike ride too. You are truly a natural!
As for the price point, we are very closely matched to other bicycle tour companies around the country. For a durable mountain bike and guide for 3 hours we like to think that $160 is a fair price for a great experience.

What a great way to travel around the rock. We had walked the day before. This let us revisit and realise how much we hadn't seen the first time and to dwell in places a bit more. Saw a few more birds and took a few more side tracks to explore caves. At this time of the year going early or late in the day to avoid the heat is best. The track for a very inexperienced and not very fit cycler was fine.

I was so happy with that.
A receptionist man was very kind, and people who joined in same tour were friendly :)
Going around with my pace was good point.
The time which I spend going around and having lunch was enough.
I want to join again sometime.

Make sure to ask for a padded seat cover if you’re a female, all bikes have a male seat very painful. The ride was great

Thank you for the compliments on the ride! You're right, narrow mountain bike seats can literally be a pain in the bum. I can assure you, with regular riding it does get better :) I'm glad we could offer you a gel cover for the tour to make it more enjoyable.

My family really enjoyed cycling 15 klms around the magnificent Uluru . Thanks again to outback cycling for your great service and presentation of completion certificates for my 2 children who did really well getting around on your bikes .

Professional, well presented staff who know their stuff, well maintained bike. So much better than walking around the base as it gets warm even with an 8am start.
Make sure you show up on time because you only get the allocated 3 hours.
We were 30min late but did the whole thing in 2 hours 15min ( 2 boys ages 12 and 13).

I highly recommend this business and its staff and their service to everyone who is interested in doing some cycling in and around Alice. Guide Jack Harvey took me out to some of the 200 plus kilometres of trails on the ride of a lifetime. He was so extremely helpful and is passionate about what he does. no matter what your skill level or need for adventure, Outback Cycling will help you match up with the right gear and expereinces around Alice and Uluru.

Travelling on The Ghan Experience, I was surprised to be offered the opportunity to ride around Alice as part of an organised group run by Outback Cycling. Also surprising was the extent of bike trails and cycleways around the area. Jack took us at an easy pace, making sure we all kept together. I personally would vote for a longer ride, but that might not be so pleasant when the weather hots up.
I would heartily recommend joining an organised ride; no real experience needed.

There is so much to offer in terms of trails and their accessibility here in Alice Springs; 5 - 10 minutes from town can get you on mountain bike trails.
