In September I completed the "End to End" Larapinta Trail with Trek Larapinta. What a great experience! We completed the trail in 16 days, trekking through a stunning part of Australia. Since it was an escorted tour we carried only our day packs which made for a very enjoyable experience. At the end of each day we dined on a... More

First up. Have a reasonable level of fitness. This is an escorted hike and it is not walk on flat ground. Having completed Camino to Machu Picchu this is just just a stunning treasure in our backyard with the most passionate of hike leaders I have had the privilege of hiking with. It combines indigenous history with an awaking that... More

We walked the Larapinta Trail for 9 days as part of a World Expedition tour. This covered about two-thirds of the Larapinta Trail stages, arguably the more interesting sections. The scenery along the trail is quite spectacular but difficult to capture in photographs. Panorama shoots worked best for me. While this wasn't the hardest walk we've done (because we only... More

Hi there Wellhamsrus, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed yourself along the Larapinta Trail. The waterholes certainly are ‘refreshing’, and a good excuse to wash away the day’s dust along the trail. September is a wonderful time to view the wildflowers, and adds lovely burst of colour to the landscape. We’re glad you enjoyed your trip and hope to... More

This Trail gives you the opportunity to hike through this area or as we did, travel to the different gorges and areas dotted along the Namatijira Drive. It was well worth spending time walking through The Standley Chasm and Ormiston Gorge, just to name a few. The photos do not do it justice. Certainly a place that needs to be... More

This walk was fantastic! We walked Section 4 to 6 over 5 days and it was one of the best multi day hikes I have done. The track was well marked, the shelters were well thought out and very comfortable and the surroundings were just breathtaking. If you need to have food drops or pick-up/drop-offs I would highly recommend the... More

My friends and I did a three day trip with Trek Larapinta and the experience outweighed our expectations. Our guide Holga was most knowledgeable and very experienced. The trek was just the right mix of challenge without being impossible and the camp provide appropriate simple comforts. It was great to see how respectfully Trek Larapinta managed camping in this pristine... More

My Mum and I had an amazing time on Trek Larapinta's 6 day trek. I can't fault any part of their service, from the pick up, to the camp, to the walks themselves. Our three guides (Anne, Lauren and Kate) were cheerful, encouraging and had an answer to every single question we put to them. While the walks could be... More
