An amazing place run by Chris Barns aka Brolga. Only does guided tours a couple of evenings a week so you must pre-book. This is to keep the place as natural as possible for the Kangaroos who are THE priority. Chris is great and hosts the tours personally showing a real interest in visitors. His passion for his animals or... More

Words just cannot describe how excited I was when I was kissed by the kangaroo baby that I was holding.Brolga is a wonderful host and finally meeting him in person was like a little wish comes true. I really admire him that instead of chasing after the material world, he chases after kangaroos. Looking forward to going back again next... More

This was the highlight of my holiday! Brolga is a great host and the tour was fantastic. He provided a lot of information and having the opportunity to hold a baby kangaroo was awesome. Would love to go back again and again!

Love of animals shone through as well as awareness of the dangers they can always present. Very good talker is Brolga, very conversational and interesting. Walk around the sanctuary can include unscheduled encounters with snakes and goannas.

We did a tour of the Kangaroo Sanctuary a few weeks ago as part of our time in the Alice Springs area during our drive around Australia. What a brilliant place! My wife absolutely loved getting up close and personal with the roos and holding the baby roos to, she had little tears in her eyes and Kangaroo Dundee was... More

My husband and I had the best time at Brolga's sanctuary. He was very informative and friendly. It doesn't get much better than seeing these beautiful animals in their natural habitat that Brolga has created for them. Cuddling with baby Roos and giving them a bottle... it was truly magical. Loved it!

I cannot begin to tell you how brilliant the Kangaroo Sanctuary is. Brolga is funny, informative, well mannered, considerate and easy going to everyone. Doesn't matter if you are 5 or 85. His love for the kangaroos is infectious and the love they have for him is heartfelt. Everyone is invited to hold a joey (I held Poppy for about... More

Kangaroo Dundee is a saint. He rescues orphaned kangaroos, and takes care of them on an acreage. On the tour you get to hold baby kangaroos, and learn how to rescue them. We also saw older kangaroos and learned a lot about the species. They are one of the few mammals who stand on two feet which makes them seem... More

I had never heard of The Kangaroo Sanctuary until I checked out attractions in Alice Springs through TripAdvisor. I had a spare evening so decided to do the tour. I am so glad I did!
