The amount of work and detail that's been put into this place by volunteers and paid staff is incredible. I could have spent a week there. Kenworth has a display of most of its models, a must see is the gold Director Series ... I drooled! Don't leave Alice without a visit, whether you're a truckie or not.

This place will blow you away with all its machinery, and old and new trucks and memorabilia.Have afternoon tea in the little bush café,make the time to spend a good hour and a half there, it`s terrific. We inducted our Dad into the Transport Hall Of Fame last year.He has been retired for quite a while, but did the hard yards... This was our second visit and just as interesting. We spent a few hours here and still didn't cover everything. My husband was extremely impressed with the Kenworth Museum, like a dog with 3 tails. Even though Im not into trucks etc, I still thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Alice, a wonderful collection of... More

An excellent collection of Australian transport memorabilia and vehicles which makes for a really interesting and absorbing visit. Even the outside vehicle graveyard including Pommies Corner brings back fond memories of trucks that used to be common sights on our roads. There is a section dedicated to the old Ghan and a miniature railway that wasn't operating when I was... More

We paid for a hotel pick up & tour, which was well worthwhile. Ron was very knowledgeable and he talked lots of "motor stuff" with my husband. We received a lunch voucher, which was just basic, but filling. Pies & sandwiches. Pick up and drop off was on time. All in all, more enjoyable for me than I thought it... More

Like the visit to the Ghan Hall of Fame, this was a stroll down memory lane for many of our people who enjoyed looking at the vintage cars and trucks.

Location Located about 5 km south of Alice Springs Service 5/5 There are two parts to this museum and both had friendly staff. Value 3/5 Truck Museum is $15 each so unless you really are interested in Road Transport probably better to spend your time and money elsewhere. If you are interested in either, then spend some time. Atmosphere 4/5... More

There are so many things to see in this place for transport enthusiasts, and also for those who wish to visit the history of Outback development. We stayed for nearly a whole day. The exhibition covers a vast area of inside and outside displays. The stories of the truckers who made this great land of ours are told throughout. Those... More
