Imagining that you, and new visitors, have just visited the City of Sydney, Australia, which is believed as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, even in Australia, where its businesses are attractive and reliable, for example, Volle’ Jewellery that sells “The finest Pink Diamond, Opal & Pearl jewellery in Sydney”. My brief reflection emphasizes few more interesting things that may fulfil the visitors’ curiosity about the meaning of satisfactory customer services receivable from some famous stores of opal, including Volle’. This store recently organized an end-of-financial-year meeting and invited many professionals (I was one of its guests) to have a get-together evening for updated information of the store’s activities. Afterward, I have still remembered at least three most memorable elements: Firstly, “The first impression is always important”, as people believe in gut feeling. It is true and resulted from my first interaction with this long existing business in Sydney. My first impression was the business unique culture of Volle’. The store has represented the Russian culture, decorated with combination of Russian’s distinctive colorful costumes, music, light but nutrition-rich food and drinks of many flavors, especially Vodka. The Head of store and his employees’ hospitality and politeness were mixed with Australian manners hence all of which simultaneously created a warm, comfortable and friendly meeting place for all guests of different nationalities. Invited guests were shown a rare video presentation about actual historical locations where pink diamonds, opal and pearls were found in Australia. Secondly, “Working experiences are respected”, as people usually expect. Indeed, the culturally mixed staffers created unforgettable stories about their clients-centered business vision, commitments and wishes to engage with public, various communities, serving local and international customers in order to be known as the most helpful and successful business in Australian pink diamonds, opals and pearls. Volle’s printed vouchers are available; provided sound explanations about its offered fair prices, convenient purchases, possible discounts and/or quick accessing duty-free tax, safe delivery and reasonable choices of beautiful items for all parties. More importantly, all staffers are willing to explain in English, or individual language, to the best of their knowledge for all possible questions of purchasers about the merchandises in store. The accessibility of various languages and the impressive listening skills of staff members could be experienced on the spot. I spoke to one Store Manager (also a Designer and a Trainer for new staffers), who speaks Mandarin and English fluently, has been “working in the same Volle’ for more than 18 years”. Patiently, she explained it is possible to complete a personally designed jewellery for a client but “it is up to availability of the client’s waiting time and an actual model…” Other staffers can speak English plus another language like Russian, Cantonese, French, etc. I assume that when an additional specific language is required by a visitor, help can be quickly provided by both IATG (Institute of Australian Tour Guides) and AUSIT (Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators) because I have been a member of those two organizations. Thirdly, “Trust is mostly important”, all participants hope so. On the walls of this store, there are quotes from Australian Consumer Law that promotes all business trades and transactions are expectedly completed between parties in legal and honest ways. Although staffers have different cultural and intellectual backgrounds, they are all working in Australia. Hence, all of them are surely trained to apply local business laws and avoiding all potential complaints. Visibly, as one of the famous businesses in Sydney, Volle’ store is located opposite Queen Victoria Building. The Owner and all staffers will not want to cause any even small mistake that may upset either existing or new customers at any level of business transactions. Surprisingly, all Volle’s staffers are aiming for the same harmonious working environment in which they aim to satisfy all new buyers’ demands that subsequently lead to an ever-expanding business of its trading Australian souvenirs of Pink Diamond, Opal and Pearls. Up to date, I have formed such initial impression, business confidence and trust of the staffers of Volle’ only after two hours of fact-finding conversations and observations of their responses and actions. Based on my three basic gut feelings, it is time for new buyers to try on this business that may make visitors feel happy for a long time not only because you could buy some Australian precious items you love but also business experiences receivable from one or more beautiful, intelligent and memorable staffers of Volle’ Jewellery in Sydney.
