Whenever we attend a concert at Sydney’s City Recital Hall we feel transported to one of the finest music venues in the world. Whether it’s classical, jazz or world music the acoustics are always superb. In recent years there have been a lot more concerts...More
With a remarkably varied program on offer I’m pleased to say we’ve only ever seen excellent shows at this venue. Quality control must be outstanding to achieve this. We love sitting in this hall as the seats are very comfortable and the excellent acoustics justifiably...More
Australian Brandenberg Orchestra on a balmy September evening.
This hall has excellent acoustics and most seats offer a good view.
I have been here many times and it remains a favourite venue for me.
Attended a lunch time concert featuring singer Teddy Tahu Rhodes and pianist Kathryn Selby. Packed hall enjoyed a superb performance for $15. Add comfortable seats, easily accessible location and availability of drinks and sandwiches, treat yourself at least once in 2018 and go. Program of...More
How wonderful a venue is Sydney's City Recital Hall. You sit in extremely comfortable seats with plenty of leg room and listen to your show with the best acoustics in town.
What is amazing is the variety of concerts and presentations they have there. In...More
I always enjoy angel place. The acoustics are good, the seats are comfy and the venue easy to get too. Only complaint is exiting is slow as the stairs are narrow. Also the lobbies are small and crowded.
We went to see Four Play. The drinks available before were reasonable priced and not a long queue. The venue itself was great. Big tall ceilings, great acoustics with not the most comfortable seats but plenty of leg room. Will definitely go there again.
City Recital Hall hosts many wonderful musical and theatrical performances. While it's not as luxurious as the Sydney Opera House, the Hall has great acoustics and lots of seats on the flat and in tiers. City Recital Hall is the home of Pinchgut Opera. This...More
My husband and I saw a show of the Australian Chamber Orchestra here and it was fantastic. It's a very well laid out theatre so, while of course some seats are better than others, regardless of where you sit you should always have a great...More
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens
or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
