We selected Picture Me’s Blue Mountain day tour from Sydney because, unlike the other tour companies, this one departed Sydney at the very civilized hour of 10am. Terry, the company owner, tour guide and driver, was very personable and quite knowledgeable about all things Australia. He is also a professional photographer which was welcome for his tips on taking better photos. The ten hour day commenced with an unexpected and fun visit to a farm to see kangaroos, wallabies and a personal up close meeting with a koala. We then headed to the beautiful Blue Mountains for multiple stops-each offering truly spectacular vistas. One stop was for a 75 minute walk down to the lovely Wentworth Falls and back up. Not being in the best physical shape currently, I found this to be very challenging and exhausting. I should have passed on it from the onset and enjoyed the view from above. We visited a local old world hotel for a coffee stop that has a very interesting history. For food, Terry had prepared a simple picnic lunch and organized a restaurant stop for a quick one course dinner on our way back (both included in the cost). All in all, our day with Terry was a very good tour and I would recommend it.

Terry is a dedicated professional with a passion for the outdoors that comes across on this tour. He is a longtime resident of Sydney and shares the wealth of his local knowledge freely. He is punctual and strategic in the pacing of this adventure with snacks, a picnic-style lunch and evening dinner. The splendor and history of the Blue Mountains come through with his commentary and choices of viewing stations. He is also a professional photographer, to boot, and will take memorable photos of you with your own equipment. The limitation on group size makes for a more intimate and individual experience for participants. Don’t miss this opportunity if you’re in or plan on being in Sydney.

Wonderful night photographing Vivid. We visited the lesser known locations where we could capture amazing photographs. Terry gave us such helpful tips - both technical and framing. I would thoroughly recommend this to both relative beginners and the more experienced. Thank you Terry.

A great day trip from Sydney with stunning views along the coastline and rural landscapes, including experiencing the Kiama blow-hole and a shortish, but informative and interesting walk along one of the headlands, to view ancient Aboriginal rock art.
It is a long day of travel, broken-up by regular stops along the way to experience some spectacular views, but certainly worth. it as you rack up the miles (kilometres) in a comfy vehicle with a great guide and driver. Our planned BBQ lunch was substituted by a pub-style lunch because of high winds and sporadic rain on our day of travel, but a lovely meal nonetheless.
All the logistics of pick-up and drop-off were very well organised and our knowledgeable and informative guide/drive kept the conversation gong throughout. Well worth doing.

This tour was a lot of fun but also sad to see the smoke from all of the fires. It really makes you appreciate things while they are there. The guide was fun and knowledgeable and we got some great photos.

I did the blue mountains tour with Terry and Steve. You will see astonishing views, get fabulous pictures, and as much instruction as you can take about how to get the best from your camera, no matter what sort you bring along from iPhone to DSLR. Even if you are not the best these guys will get pictures of you in the surroundings and they will remind you forever of the best time you can have in and around such wonderful scenery. Well worth considering

This was a wonderful experience. Truly breathtaking. Exceeding any expectation my wife and I had in advance of the day. We met Terry and Steve our guides just where they said we would along with one other member of the trip, two guides, three participants, not sure if this is typical, but the excursion is described as small and personal and that is just what it is.

Another great benefit of this trip is you start at lunchtime, well behind the crowds on the coaches, you miss all of the rush hour traffic, and visit all the locations after the coach crowds have gone

From the off, we were encouraged to chat to each other and the drive out to the mountains in a very comfortable mini van is long enough for everybody to get to know everyone else. Very inclusive.

Our journey out to the blue mountains included a short stop at the Olympic Park. Lucky for us as this stadium is due to be demolished soon for a replacement. Such is progress.

Camera’s ready. Terry is a photography expert, working in the industry, and if what you want to do is capture the day he is willing and able to pass on his wealth of knowledge no matter what your standard, from iPhone, through pointy shooty to sophisticated DSLR. He is also very willing to take shots of you and your group on your device, to make sure you capture all of the experience.

The views of the Jameson valley, Lincoln Lookout, Wentworth, Leura Falls, Cahill lookout and the Three Sisters and finally Echo Point lookout are breathtaking. Terry and Steve keep up a wonderful and informative commentary of each location. The cliffs, valleys, Eucalyptus, waterfalls, rocks, the three sisters themselves, Boars Head and lastly the sunset are beautiful, and the quiet serenity has to be heard to be believed.

“Ozzy” snacks are offered through the day but are not compulsory, Give them a go, it is part of the fun.

Being around the three sisters at sunset, watching the sun fall onto the treetops on mountains far away whilst the dark blue valley stretches before you at echo falls is just breathtaking.

Finally dinner is served before you wend your way back to Sydney with a beer if it suits. A lot chance to chat further and relax after a wonderful day. You’ll get back tired and fulfilled.

Pointers and advice, comments and improvements, motivations, actual time and day to take certain photos are all important to one's skill development. Great training.

Photography is like painting or cooking or fitness. Must be motivated, try something new and hold the fundamentals. Continue to respect light and capture it at special moments. Enjoy and thanks for the review, Terry
