The worst zoo in Sydney, paid 40 dollars. Can't see wombat, the crocodile died and we can't touch the koala nor take pictures with it, because we have to pay additional $10 per person and there was so limited things to see till it took me less than an hour to walked through it. Terrible. =.=

Queuing up seemed scary but a fellow suggested we get tickets online which proved very efficient and we were in like a flash. Great viewing of AustrAlian native animals. The Tasmanian Devil was a highlight cos he bounced around part pig, dog and rat. But more adorable. Echidna was eating and the platypus was swimming saw them and many more.... More

What a wonderful experience to find an up close and personal experience with 'true blue' Aussie animals smack bang in the heart of the city! Such a fantastic assortment of our Australian wildlife etc. Such a well displayed and easily accessible display of our unique creatures, bot big and small. I loved how well looked after and happy all the... More

This is a little (and I do mean little) zoo in the Darling Harbour area. Located in a complex with Madame Toussard's and an Aquarium, it's only worth going here if you don't want to go to the Toranga zoo. There are some nice native animals to be seen here and it is an easy walk from the CBD. You... More

Hi BosoxKen, Thankyou for your review! We are glad you had a chance to visit our Zoo which is conveniently located in Darling Harbour, right in the heart of the city. Taronga Zoo offers exotic animals such as Elephants & Giraffes, whereas we like to focus on Australia's native animals in an easy to reach location. It is also worth... More

Paid $40 for what ended up being about a 45 minute walk through. This is probably very expensive land and I know it costs a lot to maintain zoo animals but the only animals of any interest (to me) where the koalas and the kangaroos. It would be tough to justify the $160 for a family of 4. It is... More

Hi 2BEis2SKI, Thankyou for your feedback. It takes about 45 minutes to walk through our attraction, however if you take the time to listen to our Keeper talks, stop to pat the animals, have a bite to eat at our Outback Adventurer's Cafe, ride on our new Wildflight experience and more, it can take up to even 2 hours inside.... This zoo closes fairly early so make sure you get there in time as if your in the line they will not allow you in. Fairly expensive but well laid out zoo. Very easy to walk through. We were pleased with our visit to the Wild Life Sydney Zoo. It is amazing that they have all those animals right in the city. The kangaroos are mostly shy and we didn't see any when we went to the kangaroo exhibit. The koalas are adorable. We did the koala encounter. Got some great pictures with the koalas. Good deal... This place is without a doubt the worst tourist attraction in Sydney and that's saying something considering Madame Tussaud's is next door. Shut this place down and ship the 5 animals they have across to Taronga Zoo. $40 for this crap shack is outrageous. At best this should be an optional gold coin donation. You really have to feel for... More

I loved this little 'zoo' right downtown. It goes up, while the aquarium next door goes down, and you can easily hit both attractions the same day. With a bunch of different animals to see, as well as the koalas up on the roof where you can have a bite to eat, it was compact and affordable as part of... More

We spent about 2 hours going through the zoo and enjoyed it more than our trip to Taronga Zoo, although there was obviously less to see. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
