Absolutely beautiful beach. Some shelter from the southerly swell so it is an ideal place for swimming. Lots of cafes nearby too

If you are a lover of stretches of bright white sand, surfers and ice creams, take a day to Cronulla Beach, the only Sydney beach accessible by train. Waves, rock pools, an indoor pool, surf school, playgrounds, shops and cafes lining The Esplanade characterize this place (in short, there really is something for everyone).

South Cronulla is a pleasant beach with a good expanse of sand, a sloping and treed green area leading to the town and an interesting coastal walk.

easily accessible. walkable from the train station and not as crowded as bondi. there's a rock pool to swim and there are people surfing as well. a little far from the city though. quite a few signs to warn visitors to watch out for blue-ring octopuses.
