In Rose Hill - and to my surprise - no dedicated parking. I took my grandsons in the June holidays and while the six year old was disappointed that there were no animals on the 'farm', the guide more than made up for this with their child friendly tour. Joshua enjoyed playing the upright piano - I now know what... More

What a lovely place! The farm has a lovely homely feel found infrequently in heritage buildings. The storyboards scattered around the house make it all the more interesting. One of the things you simply must try while there is the Devonshire Teas. The scones are huge, light fluffy and delicious. I couldn't get over the amount of jam and cream... More

Our excellent guide, a very personable young man, told us we could sit on the furniture or even play the piano. It brought this 200 hundred year old home alive. We would not have been surprised if the first owners had walked into the room. The garden too was also impressive.

Loved stepping back in time and history as ancestors visited here in 1800 s prior to working for John MacArthur at Richlands and purchasing their own land. It was a great opportunity to connect with history. Slices for morning tea and coffee in cafe were also a treat.

We had some time to kill so spent a good half hour or so taking a look at this house. It doesn't have the original furnishings but was partly furnished with old, authentic furniture and accessories, so you got an idea of what it was originally like. There was a bit of interpretive signage too so you got the history... More

The guided tour was informative and really interesting for early Australian living. The Devonshire tea afterwards was one off the best I've had. Highly recommended.

Tourists having a holiday in Sydney and interested in early Australian history would find it advantageous to take a ferry ride one day up to Parramatta. Local maps are handed out on arrival, and several historic buildings, including Elizabeth Farm can be accessed by foot in just a couple of hours. Elizabeth Farm itself is well worth the visit, and... Wonderful place to visit on your own, with a Friend or the whole Family! Enjoy one of the best preserved homes of our forefathers. Take a guided tour then take your time just wandering around at your leisure. Absolutely amazing to step back in time. You can take a packed lunch and eat on the lawn or park next door.... More

A great place to visit to see Australia's oldest house and to learn about the history of the area. Our lovely guide was a wealth of information but unfortunately due to the heat that day took ill so we used the iPad to finish off learning about the area and how it came into existence. The house has been restored... More

Stumbled across this place and was well impressed. The fact it was made a decade after Cook et al invaded makes it even more special. Very popular with little people who for once can touch and play with everything in there. Don't forget a very generous scones and jam on way out. Made fresh every day I was told. Would... More
