Took a sudden decision to get the ferry from Central Quay to Watson's Bay and I was glad I did. It has a lovely little beach with some nice restaurants but mostly I enjoyed the scenic walk. I decided to get a bus back to the city for a change of scene and was in awe of all the beautiful... More

This is the place to go for a quick escape from the city to a beautiful small beach that seems to be hours away. Take the walk to South Point to see the lighthouse and don't forget the Fish&chips at Doyles!

Watson's Bay is a uniquely beautiful part of Eastern Sydney. Delicious cafes' and Fish and Chips shops. Go for a little stroll around the corner and discover the hidden beach with a great harbour view as the main beach is not good for swimming.

A beautiful place with stunning views of Sydney city centre. It is a place of tranquility within the city. We loved walking along the shore and having chips from Doyles.

The views and food at the Watson's Bay Hotel are fantastic. A great place to take a visitor to Sydney.

Nice place for lunch. Catch the ferry from the city only takes 40 minutes - nice parks, walk up to the gap and enjoy a fish lunch. Nice atmosphere like a fishing village.

We travelled via Sydney Ferries from Circular Quay to Watson's Bay on a magical late winter's day with sunshine and clear blue skies. Many other people had the same idea and so it was quite busy at the point of disembarkation. The venerable Doyle's was bustling, and we were unable to get a table for food or drinks at any... More

Watkins Bay has lost its soul :( used to frequent the pub here years ago when there was grass to sit on. Now the pub is all concrete and very over crowded as is the whole bay.

If you get the opportunity do visit Watson's Bay, a contrast to the hustle and bustle of central Sydney with beautiful views and a calm and peaceful atmosphere a place not to miss.
