We took the ferry from the Taronga Zoo to Watson's Bay where we enjoyed a fabulous lunch of fish & chips at Doyle's on the Wharf and then walked through the park and up the hill to look for whales in the ocean. We didn't see any whales, but there was a great path with views of the cliffs and... More

you cant go wrong with any choice, the food at all venues is spectacular it just depends on your budget. But good to work up an appetite first and walk along The Gap headland. its magical, and then catch a ferry back into the City - cheap, and seriously spectacular trip not just for the tourists, I do it as often... Great location, great pub to visit. I have always got a seat at the venues nearby. Great walk in the old area where the fisherman cottage from the whaling era of bygone years. Ferry service is good however the bus service is direct into City or Uber at $25 to CBD

Great little place being more or less on the end of either a ferry trip or a bus line. Catch the 380 bus service from Bondi Beach or the ferry from Circular Quay. Both trips give you great views. Watson Bay offers great food and drink choices as well as a start point for different walks on the South Head.... More

My family and I love going to Watsons Bay on the Ferry from Circular Quay any time of the year. The scenery is always amazing, a walk along the promenade is calming and the kids love the park. We all also love the pub for a good lunch of fish and chips and a cool drink.

Great view from Watons's Bay back to the City. Walk up to the Gap and admire the ocean and crashing waves. Watch the sunset from the top of the Gap. Great restaurant (the Doyle) for fish, though drinks are slightly expensive.

Watsons Bay is a great spot to get views back to Sydney. The park provides a great spot to sit and enjoy the views. The ferry ride to Watsons Bay compliments the views with great views of the harbourside houses and apartments on the journey out and back. I would recommend this place to anyone.

There are many trails that offer breathe taking views. The best seafood restaurant in Sydney (Doyle's) is here. I loved it!!

This was the second time I visited Watson's Bay and I highly recommend it as a side trip if you are visiting Sydney. It is easy to get to from the Sydney Ferry. Watson Bay has spectacular 360 degree views of Sydney Harbour, the Sydney skyline and Cliffs and the Tasmanian Sea. Last time we just went to the top... More
