This is an all day experience. Coming from the bush, we only had 4 hours or so, and it clearly was not enough to see everything. Currently there is a Lego exhibition which takes up plenty of the kids time. Although, many of the exhibits that are there to amuse by using them, were not operating. Hopefully, they get feedback... Such a great choice on a really hot day :) Visited the DC Comics lego exhibition and loved it...ages from 6 to 49 and we all enjoyed it immensely. The Powerhouse itself is fabulous we could've spent 2 days looking at it. A highlight was the volunteers who were generous with their time and very knowledgeable.

Having never been before, we arrived on a very hot morning. Airconditioning was very welcome. Lots of exhibits. Enjoyed the DC comics Lego superheroes exhibit. Lots of kids but it is school holidays. Volunteers shared their knowledge of the steam engine and cinema pianola. Daughter wanted something to eat. She said her pastry was stale. Otherwise a very pleasant morning... More

Took my 'Big kid at heart' husband to The Art of the Brick, DC Comics Lego exhibition and it was Great. Good for big and little kids who love Lego And Superheroes !..... the rest of the Powerhouse Museum is packed with a wide variety of machines, large transport vehicles and a space travel section to name just a few.... The Powerhouse Museum never ceases to amaze me every time I visit. Whilst exhibitions on the lower levels are more permanent, the upper floors provide more flexibility for one off exhibitions. This visit they had a display of Collette Dinnigan's Evening wear which was a surprise. On the lower level there was a grand piano being planned by a volunteer... More

It was super! I visited exhibitions on the history of activism, on the latest innovations and projects about sustainability, on DC superheroes created with LEGOs and much more. Highly recommended for the variety of topics!

This is one of the best museums I have ever been in. It caters really well to the whole community. There are many child friendly exhibits and activities. While we were there families were gettijng their photos taken as super heroes. [Free activity]. This was in conjunction with a super heroes lego exhibition. There is also an amazing Colette Dinnigan... More

A very interesting place to visit, but need lots of time to get round all the displays. We only had about 3 hours, so did not do it justice. The cost was high and added to that was an extra charge to view the Lego display. This was ok if you like Lego. We did it because we had a... More
