This is a great place for a young family half-day out! There is so much to engage with, but four hours would be the max! It's FREE, except for the special exhibitions, which may not appeal to a young family anyway.

If you are interested in the history of the steam engine, Australian fashion, The Wiggles (for kids and those young at heart), a very special section on Voice and more then you must not miss The Powerhouse Museum.

Great place to spend a couple of hours or more. Easy to get too. Great for families, couples, groups and solo visitors. Plenty to see and somethings to do. Like a mini Smithsonian.
