We hiked from Shelly Beach to North Head. There's great views and breezes when you get close to the water. Otherwise the trails were pretty hot! Stop by the Bella Vista Cafe to cool down with some smoothies and cold water!

After we finished our breakfast at the Boathouse, Shelley Beach, i stepped in to the park. It's huge, so if you're in rush, like one hour left before you leave the town, then you better short cut back to the city of Manly. Coastal edges or the cliff give you another angle to the place, Manly.

Sydney is a sprawling metropolis of nearly 5 million people and covers more than 12,000 square kilometers. As you can imagine, space is at a premium. But Sydney is lucky in that around much of its famous Sydney Harbour there are virtually virgin swathes of green - with much the same flora and fauna as was there when the first... More

This far-flung park girdling the harbour area has many excellent walking trails, of which we sampled a few. One was the South Head Heritage Trail, which takes you from Camp Cove (near the wharf at Watsons Bay) along a well-maintained pathway to South Head and the Hornsby Lighthouse. It offers a range of great views, and even includes a clothing-optional... More

We drove along the North Head Scenic Drive stopped by a few places to catch a superb view of the Sydney Harbour. Spotted a random porcupine too! There is a Fairfax Lookout Point but due to extremely hot weather and hunger, we did not explore that. Definitely worth to give it a go!

I think Sydney is located in one of the worlds most beautiful natural harbours, beaches, glorious walks, cheap ferris to Parramatta, the twin heads etc- you can easily spend a day just ferrying about to see the different locations without even getting off! great food in parramatta, lovely restaurants in most of the be achy places including Balmoral. a Wonderful... Staying in Manly

Neighborhood Profile
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbor Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
