It was still winter but I decided to go there. You can just take a train en route to Bondi Junction and catch a short bus ride. Nice sand. Enjoyed walking along the beach... Perfect scenery just a few minutes from the city.

Loved Bondi Beach...found it to be a bit hippy-fied but fantastic beach with amazing coastal walks. Each little bay was different from the next, fantastic surf.

If you intend to reach Bondi beach by public transport in most cases (depending on your location) will most likely require you to catch a bus. There is free wifi near the skatepark. If you are visiting Sydney this icon beach is worth the trip. If you are not a keen surfer you only need to spend half a day... More

This is a beach that I have heard about since the 1980's; my secondary school teacher told us about the topless sunbathers you could ogle there. Well, I visited Bondi Beach on a rather cold day in August with my family, so there definitely wasn't anyone with their tops off that morning. There were small groups of surfers wearing wet... More

This is such an iconic beach . Great for kids but make sure you are with them at all times. The only downfall here is the amount if rubbish left during the day and overnight. I actually made a formal complaint to th local council as Bondi is a massive tourist drawcard and should be better managed. Stayed at a... More

Lovely wide beach with guarded areas for swimming, and water sports. The shops and little cafe were fun too. Bathrooms need improvement, but hey, it's the beach. Parking was a nightmare.

We did this on a rainy afternoon which was not the best of times to visit. There was little activity except for a few hardy surfers.

We went to Bondi Beach in August which is in Australia there Spring. However it was a beautiful day. Lots of people on the beach either surfing, swimming or just enjoying some good beach food. They have a few restaurants were you can either eat inside or outside. Also a great place to just relax.

Staying in Bondi Beach

Neighborhood Profile
Bondi Beach
An iconic Australian suburb, Bondi Beach is famous for its fantastic beaches and views. Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Wake up early and take a dip in the surf before walking the scenic stretch from Bondi to Coogee Beach. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
