I lived at Fairlight some decades ago, so this walk is always a trip down memory lane for me, and the view never fails to inspire and delight, no matter the weather. Sydney Harbour from any angle is a world-beater! Safe, easy walking with countless photo opportunities.

This is a beautiful way to enjoy Manly with a easy walk around the Harbour and it starts at the Manly Jetty.

Very interesting and easy scenic road along the ocean between Manly and Shelly beaches. Unfortunately it was closed for renovation , but there is a side road between two beaches in many picturesque neighborhoods.

This was easy to get to from Circular Quay by taking the Manly ferry and then walking out past the beach. Easy trail to spot and the cliffs and views were breathtaking. Give yourself a few hours to take this walk

One of my favourite walks in Sydney! It was longer that I'd expected since I started from the ferry but it is definitely worth it. Great views, would recommend.

Cap'n there be whales here! Aye Scotty, you can often see Southern Right Whales in the harbour during the summer migration. I saw a mother & calf whilst on this highly rated scenic stroll. Take lunch & stop at one of the many parks for a picnic. Make it a day out rather than a rush around. The pathway is... More

We are not avud walkers but we enjoyed this walk. You can read all the special paving slabs dedicated to former olympic winners. Later you climb a small hill and you may see various interesting birds. The views out to sea are great. Plenty of rest places on root.

This is well worth it. Allocate a full day for this activity as its a TREAT served up to your eye. Go both routes, first towards NorthHead and then head down to the beaches to watch surfers.. return and head over to the spit bridge via North Harbour.. absolutely BEAUTIFUL and you'll definitely fall in love with Manly.

Staying in Manly

Neighborhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbor Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
