This Aquarium is really nicely located as Madame Tussauds, a lot of different species of fish, quite humid in there but would recommend for a short look around.

We went during a rainy school hols day and it was manic. Unfortunately the volume of people and prams made it very hard to get near exhibits and we ended up moving through (with a struggle) only seeing about 50% of the smaller displays. Pushy inconsiderate people ruined it for us and while that's not the aquariums fault maybe they... More

Hi NZDuffnetts, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I was disappointed to hear your experience was so heavily impacted by the number of people in the attraction. We are currently working hard on an admissions system that places a stronger emphasis on spreading out groups of people over the day to ensure they have... More

Very clean, many species of sea life. Everything is well organized. There is no way to miss a fish!!! Great experience, and many species which I never saw before. It's the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon with family. Interesting and amazing.

Well worth the visit and plenty to see with a very wide selection available to view. The undersea tunnels are well thought out and very informative. Very good day.

This is one of the best place you can visit if you are a fan of sea life. This is one of those few places where you will get to see Sea elephant. There are lots of sharks. When you walk through glass enclosures you can see Smaller to bigger species of Sharks, sting rays and plenty of beutiful fishes.... More

This is a nice little aquarium located in the Darling Harbor area. We went here on a very dreary, rainy day and it was a nice way to see something without getting wet. Be warned, it is a bit pricey.

Expected a lot more for the price. Was really hoping to see a good range of marine life but was a little disappointed.

A spur of the moment decision to visit the Aquarium meant I had to queue out the front. This was actually not so bad as there were plenty of staff members on the counter and the queue moved quite quickly. What I thought was going to be a very quick visit turned out to be an interesting afternoon viewing lots... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
