The place looks really small from the outside, but when you go in, it's actually quite large. You will see so many different aquatic species. I got great videos of sharks and other types of fish. It was a great experience.

Its a good place to visit. But i'd say its a one time watch. Kids will enjoy. They have a good collection of sea life. It contains a large variety of Australian aquatic life, displaying more than 700 species comprising more than 13,000 individual fish and other sea and water creatures from most of Australia's water habitats.

Took the family here yesterday and have to say that we were bitterly disappointed with the overall experience. I had booked tickets on-line the previous evening to save time when arriving. On arriving there were 2 lines, one for pre-paid tickets and one for people who were purchasing on the day. After lining up (not for very long luckily) we... More

This is my favourite Aquarium, lots to see, some amazing fish, good shark tunnels, glass floors, well laid out. A good way for the family to spend an hour and half. We always find looking at fish, very relaxing.

My son wanted yo visit Sydney after seeing the movie 'finding dory' and its prequel 'finding nemo'. He thought nemo stays in sydney, we particularly visited sea life aquarium to see clown fish (nemo) and blue fish (dory). To our surprise all the kids present there were shouting nemo and dory seeing those fishes. It was their dream come true... More

We went there yesterday with our visitor from overseas. The only reason we went there was the platypus. I've been there many times (at least 6 times) and I always saw the platypus right beyond the entry. Yesterday it wasn't there anymore and at the end we finally got the information the platypus has been relocated. It's now living next... More

We went to the aquarium on a weekday with our 1 year old daughter. It was fairly quiet which was good. We hadn't eaten lunch yet & didn't realise that we would be stuck going round & round & wouldn't be able to come & go between the different sections. We definitely recommend eating before entering as being hungry dampens... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
