Great spot for a day out. Safe dog friendly beach and new upgraded facilities and free carparks. Close to Captain Cook's landing spot on Botany Bay and whale watching at Cape Solander. Relax, swim, snorkel, fish or watch the kite surfers as they sail across Botany Bay. Have coffee or lunch and take in the water and city views.

It's a nice quiet beach to chill out, have a paddle, do a bit of fishing etc. The beach is pretty narrow but not many people go there, so it's fine. Quite a few rocks in the water nearer to the landing place statue, so worth moving along the beach for a swim. It's right next to Captain Cook's landing... More

Great little picnic spot with sheltered beach. Never crowded...easy parking. Wind surfing, fishing and snorkelling. Perfect place if you prefer a quiet location. Dog friendly too.

Silver beach isn't your typical " beach" - its great for walks and fishing or taking your kids for a play on the sand - its nice and quiet and has a cool aspect of the city. Its a great mix of nature and urban Sydney. Plenty of fish and birds about, watch the boats and kite surfers go by... More

I went to silver beach with a big group of my family. . This beach is ideal for a quiet day with safe swimming areas and a lie down in the shade. Bbq facilities look great - plenty of tree shade to lay a mat down and the beach was generally well-maintained. I'd recommend taking enough food/snacks and drinks because... More

The beach has its good things. It is a rather quiet place not so stuffed as other beaches in the area. There are parking places and public toillets. Now the beach is does not really offer any major sandy area for you to lay down and there is a lot of vegetation and algae all over the place. Good for... More

Silver Beach is a quiet peaceful spot at Kurnell which is a village in Sydney on Botany Bay. It is a great place to swim, fish and snorkel. You can enjoy a coffee or lunch at the general Store which has takeaway food, newsagency and a post office. The beach is clean and dog friendly, a great place to go... More

Kurnell is a southern Sydney suburb located approximately 7 minutes drive from Cronulla. The entire suburb is within walking distance of Silver Beach and boasts a quaint coffee shop which has a great menu for both eat there and takeaway lunches, the same store serves as a grocer, a post office and the like. It's situated just across from the... More
