We boarded a restored 1920s ferry ‘Wangi Queen Show Boat’ where we listened to commentaries as we cruised past Australian icon buildings: Admiralty House – the official Sydney residence of the Governor-General of Australia and adjacent to the Kirribilli House – residence of Australian Prime Ministers and Fort Denison – formal penal site and defensive facility while drinking unlimited champagne... We booked in early June with a gift certificate for $250.00 from Red Baloon (had to pay an extra $9.00 to meet the cost for a couple) however due to storm damage to the boat we were re-directed to book in late July. In the mean time our friends booked for the same cruise and paid $160.00 for two people... More

My husband and I were bought this trip for a Christmas Present and we went on the trip on 15th January 2016. We were on holiday from the UK. We travelled on the Warangi Queen with six other people- all Australians. The Warangi Queen is an old show boat originally built for Lake Macquarie and so has a shallow flat... More

I took my grandparents on this cruise for Christmas and was the perfect present!!! The tour guide (Esther) was packed full of information, not only on convicts but also general facts about sydney. This tour gives you excess to a private island called goats island which is full of history! The lunch on board is nothing to look foward to... More

This cruise was orginally given to me as a gift of a Tall Ship Cruise and Convicts and Castles Tour of Goat Island. I had always wanted to go on a Tall Ship on Sydney Harbour and to Goat Island where they filmed the 1990s TV series "Water Rats." We were disappointed it was changed to a smelly old dingy... More

This was a good little tour around our harbour and Goat Island, good tour guides, food was better than I expected. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to see our harbour and the history on Goat Island. Be prepared for a bit of walking on Goat Island.

We all expected a tall ship too...much to our surprise a tiny old ferry arrived to collect usM we had a fun small group and a great enthusiastic tour guide Ryan. It was a really fun afternoon! Lots of drinks flowing a tasty food on offer on boat! Great fun to be had!!

We too were expecting funnily enough given the tour title a tall ship. What turned up was tug boat Billy who we were reliably informed was an ex river boat who wobbled a bit when tied up but would do well out at sea. And so she proved too. We sat upstairs at the back and got chatting to two... More

When we arrived, we were convinced the boat hadn't turned up yet... When my friend had booked the tour, she had thought it was a tall-ship. This was not the case. It was the Wangi Queen as other reviewers had mentioned, which although has character is not quite as impressive... None of us bothered with the food on board, however... More

We had a thoroughly lovely afternoon on this tour, with Brendan as our guide. It was a very hot day with about 20 other guests for a trip to Goat island via some of the sights of glorious Sydney Harbour, on the Wangi Queen, a historical ferry built in 1922. The food was adequate (although I do agree with other... More
