I spent a night on the James Craig on an excursion with students. We had the whole experience, learning about the history of the ship, the different quarters and then we slept on hammocks. The volunteer crew are fantastic and passionate about the ship and...More

This is for every age! Even the teens will appreciate the detail (they will realize what it means to "wash the deck" ) when they see these big boys

We had never been on a tall ship before, and didn’t know what to expect. A nice chap named ROB, knew the ship like the back of his hand and gave us a detailed account of the ship. Well worth a visit

I wish we had the opportunity to go on a sail but today we were confined to port. The ship’s history is recounted by volunteer guides but you can make your own way around the ship. The accommodation for crew (it never took passengers) was...More

If you are into boats/ships it is a must to get on and explore this tall ship. It is a bit castorfobic for me, but it is still fun to see how people lived on these ships.

The size of this is incredible and the work carried out in restoration is fantastic. Would love to set sail on this, not just in the Harbour but out on the open ocean. Loved it.

We visited this newly renovated Tall Ship the James Craig. Beautifully maintained by a group of volunteers, this ship was steeped in history and still takes on board fare paying passengers on cruises.
