Inside for praying; outside for playing!

What a vibrant and friendly parish this is!  Our Lady of the Angels at Rouse Hill-Kellyville is a beautiful church and one of the newest in Australia (see attached photos).  Parish priest Fr Warren Edwards and back-up priest Fr John Rizzo's Masses and sermons are always inspiring and thought-provoking. There's something for all ages: young children look forward to the 'blessing of the children' towards the end of each Mass (this is so beautiful to see), and there's the Children's Liturgy and children's prayer group, too.  The activities for the youth are second to none, and oh my, listening to the youth choir is really something! Fr Warren runs interesting all-day retreats to prepare us for Christmas and Lent, then there's scripture reflection every Wednesday evening to prepare for the coming Sunday's Bible readings. There's plenty of social interaction, and I like how fun is always on the agenda.  There's the annual dinner dance, summer parish fair (the kids are encouraged to bring along their water guns!) and parish family get-aways to lovely locations for a few days every summer. Fr Warren also hosts interesting evenings at his presbytery such as 'Blokes' Night' (mateship get-togethers), and youth nights around the camp fire where they can ask Father questions about the faith.  What great ideas these are! Overall, I love that the faith is nurtured and made so interesting, and how it is often followed by fun activities.  Inside for praying and outside for playing! :)  What a blessing it is to have this parish.  A well-deserved five stars!
