Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tours specialises in small personal wine tours to the Hunter Valley. We operate a daily wine tour from Sydney as well as a daily local wine tour operating from within the Hunter Valley and also regular departures from Newcastle. Why not join us for a fun day touring the wineries of the oldest wine region of Australia? You’ll travel in comfort and style in one of our 14, 17 or 20 seat travelling coaches and enjoy private wine tastings at a great selection of Hunter wineries, large and small, enjoy a lunch at the Matilda Bay Brewhouse Cafe and sample local Binnorie cheeses and taste some chocolates during the day. This tour is a great way to experience the Hunter. The tour will be conducted by one of our team of experienced drivers/guides - all of whom have earned many favourable comments from other Trip Advisor members.

Our recent tour with HV tours was excellent from start to finish. We were a little dubious about travelling interstate due to CV 19 issues, but were given reassurance by the tour owner about credit and reimbursement arrangements if we did have to cancel which is very important these days.
The tour itself was great with a knowledgable and friendly driver. Choice of wineries we visited was also excellent with passionate staff explaining in full their wines and the region.
We had a vey filling lunch and some more wine before finishing off the day. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Hunter valley wine region as it really hits the mark from start to finish

A great full day tour to visit a selection of local wineries.

They do pickup from your accomodation, 3 to 4 different cellar doors and lunch all planned for you (pay for lunch separately)

Scott, our tour guide was super accommodating and friendly.

The local winery businesses and the tour company themselves are all super appreciative of the local tourism. The Australians holidaying in their own country have been able to keep them running, and thriving.

We did the half day winery tour - pick up from Lovedale. Our driver Bruce was fantastic. Very helpful and made it a very relaxed and fun day. We went to three wineries and shared the trip with 14 altogether. Kelmen winery was our favourite. Martin was so informative and gave great information on the selected wines. The other two wineries did not compare to the knowledge Martin provided. Thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour!

SHONKY as hell!!!!
Cash was demanded while the driver parked us in a carpark, luckily we had cash, no receipt was given. The couple with us met us in a second carpark dropped off by the owner. We had to then drive around the countryside to find a service station with an atm so the other couple coul pay cash
only! The driver admitted that he had no clue about wine, yet sat at our tables and watched us and couldnt stop talking about himself, very uncomfortable. We had to pay $100 cash each and once we already had tastings we were told we had to pay for that as well.
The driver did not have a uniform nor were the old vehicles labelled. Also my wife and i had to keep moving the chair forward to let the others out from the
back, not so bad if the chair
slid without getting stuck all the time. The word prestigue should be stripped from their business name.

We had a great morning on our half day tour! Bruce, the driver, was lovely and helpful. The wineries and distillery we were taken to were great, with all vendors giving us lots of extra samples and time. I would recommend going midweek like us as it seemed more relaxed and attentive. We highly recommend Hunter Valley Wine Tasting Tours.

While we booked a few weeks in advance online and they confirmed by phone the morning of the tour, they didn’t show up. We stood there waiting with our friends and waited .. Then after a phone call they said they were close by. Then we called ten minutes later and they gave no apologies and said we hadn’t booked, even though they knew all our details. Book with someone reliable not this supplier:

We had a lovely afternoon with Bruce as our guide and driver. It was a small group of 8 which was perfect. We chose the half day tour.
Our first stop was at the Hunter Valley Resort, where we had a comprehensive wine and cheese pairing. The wines were delicious and so was the cheese.

The next stop was Mistletoe wines. Lovely to hear of the history of the winery. After that we went to Wyndham wines which was really picturesque and our host was really knowledgeable.

Because we had a little bit of time up our sleeve, Bruce took us to Kiss of Fire, which sold speciality liqueurs- the speciality being chilli flavoured.

It was a fun afternoon and Bruce was lovely. We didn’t have to travel very far between locations which meant we weren’t rushed or spending more time on the bus than on the ground.

Highly recommend.

We were 6 couples on a half day wine tour and we all really enjoyed it all. Alan our driver was great and it was fabulous to be driven to each winery and have the tastings ready for us. We visited Bimbadgen, Peterson’s and Tulloch and were very happy with all the wines and staff. We were dropped at Baume for lunch which was delicious and plentiful. Overall a very enjoyable day. Thanks to Margo who organised it all and Alan who drove us around. Highly recommended for a group.

There was a group of ten of my family and friends, all different age groups staying at the Hunter Valley for my birthday. I chose the half day "Delights" Morning Tour - Wine, Spirits, Cheese on a Saturday 10am morning tour. Rosemary our driver was excellent and picked us up from our resort right on time. The wine tasting and cheese tasting was informative and interesting. All the wines we tasted were very nice. We had so much fun at the Pokolbin distillery trying so many different flavours of gin and vodka. There was plenty of laughter. We even had time to go chocolate tasting. It was a bit rushed as you have to be at the next place at a certain time but we still had enough time to enjoy all the experiences. Everyone had a great time! If your staying at the Hunter Valley and want to go wine tasting, book with this company you will have a nice time!

The overall experience was wonderful and definitely worth the money spent. We tasted over 30 different wines and a small selection of good quality cheese and chocolate.

However, I would've loved to observe the process of wine making and felt that the schedule could've been improved to prevent attending 2 wineries back to back without any food.

All in all we had a great experience and would definitely recommend attending this trip with a group of friends.
