This tour was a unique and fun way to learn more bout Sydney. The history, fun facts and evening walk made for a great experience. Well that and the beer! Our tour guide was very knowledgable but also a fun guy to hang out with and have a few drinks. We visited 3 pubs and experienced 3 different great local... More

This made Sydney for me, i had done the Bridge Climb, Seen the Oprea house, been to Manly, done it all but this definatly made Sydney for me. It was only me and the tour guide but it was still a lot of fun. Very informative and the tour guide was very easy to talk to. Just an awesome experiance.... More

Our tour guide Di was awesome! She had so much knowledge about the history of The Rocks area. She answered all of our questions and more! She gave great beer recommendations at the three pubs we stopped at.

Loved walking around the rocks, visiting various pubs, learning of their histories and that of the surrounding areas. Our Guide Gaz knew his beers well, was full of plenty of stories and was happy to listen to ours as well. His personality enhanced our tour. He was very friendly and provided us with an extremely enjoyable few hours. I would... More

We really enjoyed the tour. That evening, it was only the two of us who were present, so it was like having a private guide. The guide (who's name we can't remenber) was really friendly and knows a lot about the city and the history of it. In every pub he told us a nice story. Frederik & Delphine -... More

We weren't really sure what to expect of a pub tour but we were very impressed. Our guide, Gaz, was a wealth of knowledge about the Rocks and most importantly about the pubs. We have been living in Sydney for nearly 2 years but didn't know most of the information. We have found a new appreciation for the Rocks and... More

In Sydney to celebrate my husbands 50th Birthday we found the beautiful and very helpful Annette at Circular Quay who took our booking and gave us directions to meet our host. Our host - Michael was ours for the night- he took us up dark alleyways, steep stairs, beautiful little pubs from Australia's early years. He was a font of... More

We did the tour of the oldest pubs in the Rocks - Fantastic time! Our guide Gaz was full of local lore, history and stories of how the area came to be and way the pubs / hotels had such a big influence. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for better insight off the beaten path.

I had a rather unusual group tour - just me! Kudos to the company for not canceling the arrangement. It felt a little like "rent-a-mate" for the evening, but it turned out to be an excellent night. We had a beer in each of the three stops, with lots of useful information from my guide on the area, the bridge... More

The "Rocks, Bridge and Bay Tour" allowed my family to experience Sydney from a unique perspective. This experience was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Throughout the tour we uncovered the history behind the Rocks, and were able to ride around famous icons of Sydney with the help of our first class guide Vic. The most memorable part of this... Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
