I booked two tours with Helen Fraser of Ultimately Sydney, and was thoroughly impressed with the historical knowledge and geographic familiarity that she had with the area. One tour was to the Hunter Valley Vineyards, and the other was The History of Sydney. Both tours were excellent; and early in the first day, Helen had become a good friend. We... More

Sydney is quite big and has a lot to see. This tour was an excellent introduction, taking us to the many different sections of the city, including Bondi Beach. Our guide was very knowledgeable and really gave us insight to Sydney.

Hi Christopher, Thank you for your review. Yes, Sydney is big and growing at a rapid rate. They anticipate our population will increase by 1 million in 10 years so we as tour guides are having fun evolving with the changes as well. We hope we will meet you again some time. More

We loved this tour which was led by a great guide who offered great insights into the locations whilst introducing us to the layout of the city. What a great start to our visit to Sydney. Even found out where to get the best fish and chips!

We used Ultimately Sydney for a 1/2 day tour. It was fabulous. Our guide was Alecks Mitchell, I highly recommend him. He is a proud "Sydney Sider" and seemed to really enjoy showing us his city. We really enjoyed going into the neighborhoods in the area and learning more about how Sydney is set up. There were lots of photo... More

Our guide was Rohan, he was very good, got on tour with one lady who would not shut her mouth and kept asking stupid questions, but Rohan handled it like a pro, tour was very good, lots of great information was given to us. This is probably one of the best tours I have ever had! We started out at the P.R. Raineri Deli where we tasted a variety of olives, cheeses, oilve oils, breads and cured meats. Thank you for your review. We know condensing the entire Story of Sydney in only 3 hours seems a bit rushed, but it can be done well as long we focus on the important and interesting bits and not get to involved in the detail. We are very happy that you enjoyed the experience. More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
