I have been on many free walking tours in cities around the world, and while this tour was decent, compares to other ones it was disappointing. I did the tour of the Rocks, and while there was many cute little stories about the people who had lived in the area, it didn't necessarily give a sense of the place. It... More

A must for any visitor to Sydney. If you are looking for a pleasant stroll around the sights of Sydney, this tour is it. Knowledgeable guides will lead you through some of Sydney's most interesting and historical places that you would otherwise never see. From Hyde Park to the historical 'Rocks' of Sydney, this tour is a delight.

We wanted to see as much as we could of Sydney in just 2 days, so this walking tour seemed like a good idea. Lisa was an amazing host, had time for everyone and so, so funny. Loved every minute!

We did this tour on a rainy Friday night as a distraction and it was fabulous! The guide was friendly and informative. She had so many great stories to share and engaged equally well with the adults and children in the group. We will try a daytime tour next time. My suggestions: Bring $$ cash as a gratuity to the... After getting to my hotel from the airport, taking the 10:30am I'm Free Walking Tour was the first thing on my list of things to do in Sydney and I wasn't disappointed. It was a great start to my 3 days in Sydney and the perfect way to learn and walk around many of the great sites of Sydney. Staying... More

What a nifty little tour. Some friends from Melbourne were visiting for the weekend and they found the 6pm Rocks tour online. I tagged along and, being a Sydney-sider, definitely learnt a few new things. Sights included three of the oldest pubs in Australia, an archeological dig site and Observatory Hill - to name a few. Whilst the tour is... More

I was with my family in Sydney for three days. But I ended up doing this tour only on the third day which was a mistake. Should have done it before. Ellie was our guide. She was very quirky and gave us fun facts about Sydney. She even gave us very helpful tips like what to eat, how to get... More

Wonderful tour. Learnt so much. Perfect for international and interstate visitors. Even though we only live 100ks away we needed something to fill a few hours rather than shopping or spending and we had a great time! Wish I'd had more cash to donate to the guide.

We went on this free walking tour with Allie as our tour guide. The tour was a good steal for those who wanted to see and take photos of the popular tourist attractions in the city for free and for a limited time. It lasted for 2.5 hours and it was totally worth our time. We learned a lot about... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
