I live nearby and often walk there in spite of the buses dropping off tourists to take their selfies with the harbour in the background. Of course if you want to take photos you should go in the mornings with sun behind you, but I still see buses there in the afternoons! Once the tourists are gone it is a nice local park although it can be a bit windy. There is a small children’s playground and a small track for little ones on bikes. We are lucky to have it.

This is pretty much the high point of the eastern suburbs and has some of the most sweeping views of the city and harbour. Unfortunately it’s just a big patch of grass. Some trees would really help.

Came upon this park while doing the Bondi to Watson Bay coastal walk. It enjoys commanding views to the east - including the city skyline, the harbour and the bridge and the opera house in all its stunning glory. No doubt a fantastic place to watch the NYE fireworks from - I understand the local council sells tickets. Unfortunately, the park is lacking in some other basic public amenities - not much shade or shelter, no public toilets and from what we could ascertain no water bubblers.

We stopped at the Dudley Page Reserve on our way past whilst walking the Federation Cliff walk. There are great views of the city including the harbour bridge and opera house. It would be a lovely spot for a picnic watching the sunset. Guys, great spot for a proposal! It has a bike track for kids and also a cricket pitch. There were a few people out and about. We will definitely come back for a picnic and watch the sunset!

Great spot for NYE! We walked from Bondi Beach, avoided the crowds and were able to view the entire skyline filled with the spectacular show Sydney puts on. It was fabulous!

Every city has a hidden romantic scenic point.

This is it.

We took a 10 minute Uber from Bondi Beach up to Dudley Park Reserve on Military Road.
This reserve offers spectacular scenery of the city skyline of Sydney.

Think of the worlds famous vantage point of great cities. This is one of them. From Kerry Park in Seattle, Primrose Hill in the fashionable Borough of Camden which provides a clear view of Central London or fittingly 'Cathy's Corner' in the Hills of Hollywood where Sebastian and Mia tap dance to the skyline of Los Angeles. This park has that charm and best of all... it's FREE!!!

You can take in a great sunset from this position, setting behind the city skyline. Set up a picnic with loved ones or your family and friends.
This place is conveniently closed on New Years Eve as it makes a great vantage point to watch the fireworks.

Spend some time outside amongst the city and sky lights.
