Being able to use your Opal Card, or tourist pass makes this form of travel a must, where to the North Shore, Luna Park or Darling Harbour, sailing under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and seeing the Sydney Opera House and Bridge in the same frame is wonderful.

Just catching a ferry from place to place in the harbour is so relaxing and a fantastic way to see the sights of Sydney from the water.

The ferries are a great way to see the sights of Sydney. My kids didn't want to travel any but the ferries if they had a choice.

Buy an opal card while you are visiting Sydney and top up as you go. Be sure you know where you are going. No matter where you sit you get views. Catch the ferry to lunar park

The view is excellent. First one can see Sydney in day time. Then during sunset and lastly Sydney at night time. All these while one is served a 2... More

Great and cheap way to get out on the water in Sydney. Have used these many times when in Sydney, loved getting up the river to Paramatta - have lunch and then come back. Or get great views of the Opera House on your way to Manly or Watsons Bay.

We took one ferry company out, and another back. Both were fast, fun, and efficient. And inexpensive in US$. It was a sunny, cool day, and we travelled with another couple over to Manly Beach. Had lunch there. See review of Bluewater Cafe.
