Top tip: Use an opal card for getting around all transport, you can buy them from lots of outlets where you load them with some dollars and then top up when necessary at the machines. Just tap on and off at the machines. The ferries are usually very busy so if you want to get a seat at the front,... More

We especially like the ferry ride to Manly. The prices are reasonable and the ride through the harbour is very beautiful and relaxing.

Very easy and accessible at buzzing Circular Quay, The Manly ferry affords the best but many routes are interesting and always beautiful.

Great way to look around Syney and not expensive. Can get to most places around the bays. Try to get up the bow end outside, remember some of the ferries are double ended so they do not turn round.

Easy to use with Opal card. The ferries are regular and easy to hop on and off. They are very spacious inside with comfortable seats and a cafe. One can also sit outside which is great for photos as the views are amazing.

Great way to get around the city and see the sights along the way. Wifi onboard is an extra bonus - although you do need an Australian address to access it!

We love to use the Ferries on a Sunday from the Quay to Manly for an ice cream... It's a lovely day out and a great way to spend the weekend with the family.

Have used the ferry system many times in my 3 visits to Sydney. I am amazed at the regularity and route structure that is offered to the public. On all three trips I've taken the one to Watson's Bay. This last trip was well woth it because the temperatures reached 40c a couple of days and it was good to... More
