Taking a trip on Sydney Ferries on a sunny day is a great way to see the extensive harbour. Especially Saturday afternoons when multiple sailing craft are racing.

Took the ferry to Manly and back again. Stop off at Manly for an ice crea, ocean swim, stroll along the mall or walk out to the quarantine station. Much cheaper than a cruise and you can tailer the activities at Manly to suit your interest and time.

Sydney Ferries are a good way to see Sydney Harbour. Buy a ticket and then let yourself explore. It doesn't matter if you happen to "get lost". In fact it might be the best thing you may end up doing.

By now Sydney also has a card used for all public transportation. You buy the Opal card at any convenience store, and add funds to it also at the convenient stores. As a tourist taking the ferry will give a similar experience as the Hop-on Hop-Off but by sea. Worth trying it.

This is the cheapest way for the best view in Sydney. Boats are aplenty and they go everywhere around town and they offer the most stunning views in the city - at the most moderate rates!

Travelling by ferry is traffic free and a wonderful way to see so much of Sydney and beyond. View the spectatular houses along the way.
