Spending 2 and half hours on Heritage steam ship the Waratah was a treat. Such a privilege to tour Sydney Harbour with a professional historian guide Patricia, we learnt so much. She did an amazing job. The entire crew, all the volunteers, were so engaged and knowledgeable it was great to see such an historic vessel in all her glory with these passionate people👏👏👏 Thoroughly recommend this experience.

Having previously had a great experience on the steam tug Waratah with the "Sydney Harbour Secrets' cruise, this time we went smaller in vessel and scale with the Mystery Bays cruise on the 1943 naval tender Harman.

The vessel's small size (there were about 24 passengers and 5 crew/guides on board) allows the Master to take her deep into the coves and bays of the north shore of Sydney harbour between Bradleys Head and Balls Head.

I have caught the Manly ferry hundreds of times and raced yachts on the harbour, but our guides has many stories and details about these bays that were fresh and interesting to me.

The boat is smallish and gets tossed about a little so if you are someone who gets seasick, take a quell beforehand. The views are amazing.

What a lovely day exploring the Sydney harbour waterways from Rozelle through to Lane Cove River. We boarded the 'Protex' at Rozelle, and explored waterfront areas at a slower pace, with time to talk about buildings, history and environmental issues. Lunch at Lane Cove park near Fullers bridge brought back many memories of family days, Sunday school picnics of the 60s etc- thank you to John, Alan and Fay for your organising - and a yummy lunch!

Did a wonderful cruise on the Heritage Steam Tug Waratah from the Sydney Heritage Fleet cruising the Harbour. The crew were wonderful explaining the workings of the tug and the commentary was great. Very interesting and thorough,. A great cruise to do to experience part of our marine history. Totally recommend this cruise.

I great day was had cruising from Rozelle to Bantry Bay aboard the Boomerang. Here we boarded the tender "Protex" and headed ashore for a pleasent picnic before returning to Rozelle. Penguins, pelicans and seals were spoted on the way. Great crew and company with competition as to who had the best fruit cake. Thanks for the great day.

I did the Jacaranda cruise on the boat Harman. What a wonderful way to see the Jacaranda trees and explore our harbour and Lane Cove River. Great commentary by both guides as we learned the history of the different areas along our cruise. Great crew.

Did a great cruise with the Sydney Heritage Fleet on the boat Harman up the Western side of Sydney Harbour discovering 7 islands and their history. Very well told by experienced volunteer guides. A must for locals or visitors to Sydney and a good experience to be in a heritage boat.

A fabulous way to spend Australia Day. Sydney Heritage is staffed entirely by volunteers, who are enthusiastic, welcoming and really proud of their boats. Funding is always an issue, so they really appreciate support and money to help them with their restoration projects. It was a really relaxing day, with tea and coffee available during the cruise. We plan on going again next year.

We went out on a bad day; the water was really bad outside the harbour. The crew was able to handle everything with easy and get us back to calmer waters.

We had a wonderful sail on The James Craig tall ship while on holiday in Sydney. The vessel is amazing, the volunteer crew delightful, and the food terrific. I especially loved the heritage in action activities with Sally (?), learning about the meaning of the bells ringing, and how to work out speed in olden days. And our new friend, Peter, the chief purser was so welcoming - we met him on the bus to the Maritime Centre and the rest was history!! We can't recommend this highly enough. If the James Craig is sailing, book yourself on it. You won't regret it.
