This was one of our favorite days in Sydney. It was so great to have a smaller intimate setting and do the smaller wineries. Each one was unique and we bought wine at each one. If we didn't have a 16 hour flight, I would...More

Don't recommend this tour. The bus they use looks like it has been through 3 wars in its 25 years of service. The guide was not bad and tried to be entertaining, but took too much time trying to sell stuff like boomerangs, opals, other...More

Trip companies: trying to decide btwn two - help? (2 Replies)
Hi, Am trying to decide between two companies - "Australia wild escapes" and "Activity Tours Australia." The prices are really different. Am looking at both the Blue Mt tour and the Hunter Valley tours. Have read some reviews but wanted to know if one company is really better. Wild Escapes is $279 vs. $79 for Activity Tours. I'd like to save money but i'd also like to have a great experience. I think the Wild Escapes are smaller groups, but that's all i can see as a difference. Any...More

Just from reading their websites, Wild escapes certainly sounds more appealing, but for $200 pp more, I couldn't tell you. Previous posters have mentioned tours that end with the Parramatta-Syd. ferry, some felt they were "dumped " at the ferry terminal & left to fend for themselves. Not sure if this was the activity tours. If you can email the companies & ask for the wineries they visit, we can probably give you some guidance with the better of the two.

Questions on tours from Sydney (4 Replies)
Hello - I am wondering if anyone has heard of the tour company: Activity Tours Australia, and what kind of reputation they have. They have the best prices by far, but I have not seen anything on Tripadvisor about them which scares me a little. Also - I will be in Sydney in a little over a week, should I book any tours I want to take now, or wait until we get there and see the forecast (and would we be able to book a tour the night before do you think?) Thanks! PS - if it makes a...More
