This refers to the cluster of streets, mainly around King Street Wharf where the restaurants and bars are concentrated. It includes the Wulugul promenade right on the waterfront and also the couple of streets behind it, Barangaroo Avenue and Hickson Rd.
It’s just a part of Barangaroo Reserve, a much larger area that encompasses several pretty coves and a long foreshore walk.
The name ‘Streets of Barangaroo’ is largely a creation of marketing gurus in order to promote the restaurant, bar precinct within Barangaroo. There’s a website worth his name which lists the dining options and has a ‘What’s On’ section.
It’s a lively and very smart new area. The restaurants are mostly high-end and look very appealing. One of the most eye-catching is Barangaroo House. I’ve not done their rooftop cocktails yet, but its on the list.

We were lucky to get a half hour parking spot which gave us an amount of time for us to get a good feel (and coffee) of the area. Lovely cobblestone streets, great shops, great coffee! Will definitely go back for a longer look.

Great new neighbourhood for dining. A great selection of cafés and restaurants and a few boutique shops to boot.

Good atmosphere great service, average food and limited food service time! I took an international guest along and when they bought the food out the portions and quality was an embrassment, they thought you'd get better here in Australia considering we have such quality ingredients

No thought for the visiting people other than to empty our pockets! Public transport access is bad. Construction activities are intrusive. Yet another greedy, rich man's project!

Barangaroo is a nicer option compared to the main Darling Harbour area. Just walk a bit further and you will find great eateries and nice bars, yet with less of the intense touristey Darling Harbour vibe. We enjoyed great cocktails at Barangaroo House and tasty Spanish Tapas at Bórn by Tapavino. Highly recommended.

If you are coming by car from Barangaroo foreshore, this area is difficult to access. Driving down Hickson Road you will see nothing more than a construction zone.

I am sure if you are a worker in one if the towers and are coming from Lime Street Wharf, it is easier and you know the secret pathways!

We could not find or access RivaReno Gelato on the Avenue. I am sure it is going to be brilliant once finished as this is just the beginning.

Streets of Barangaroo is still a work in progress but already it is shaping up to be an exclusive and upmarket place to visit. Many new great restaurants and cafes are opening up and just love the architecture along the foreshore.

The area of Barangaroo, has under gone a massive development, with skyscrapers, arriving, incorporating, a new casino, office buildings with an entertainment, sector, with high end eateries and all the infrastructure that goes with it ferries, buses and accessibility to the light rail, its almost like the CBD has been relocated, the development of the fore shore and adjoining streets is quite impressive.

Right opposite the Quay opposite the new casino is The Cutaway, which is really an enormous cutting in the sandstone cliff-face which housed a brilliant environmental art show when we visited at the start of VIVID. Apparently, the bamboo sculpture that hangs the length of the cavernous space is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. Displays sent a powerful message of conservation and ocean water degradation. Very worth taking the time to find it. We visited at ight and it was very special.
