My husband and I first found Carobana on our honeymoon, we still remember the friendly staff and yummy treats from 20 years ago. Our young son and I recently visited and it still retains its personal touch and charm. Delicious and fun!

I love chocolate so this was a must for me! The staff and owner (who is a delightful elderly lady) were so lovely and friendly, it really made the trip so special! They showed how they make honeycomb, answered all our questions and showed us one of their machines which is from the 1920s. It's a small operation but the... More

Went to the Carobana for a look around; no production on going as it was the afternoon but still treated to an informative tour by staff :-) Wide variety of products and samples available which all tasted good! Worth a visit if you're in the area.

As noted by others, this place is a bit hidden but worth the effort. The owners were so friendly and Jean was so kind to spend some time sharing the history of the place and region. The sweets were good value and you can try some before buying. They provided demonstrations on peanut brittle production, all done by hand. Great... More

Small carob chocolate factory with sampling and factory processes on display.A bit out of the way but not too far from the Big Banana so a little drive makes for a worthwhile visit for a holiday where the weather isn't that bright and the beaches aren't so inviting. Probably not a great place to take the teens but when things... More

Hidden in a leafy part of korora a few mins out of Coffs, Carobana was a delight. Free tea and coffee (donations appreciated), free samples of everything from sugar free carob buttons to chocolate coated honeycomb and macadamia brittle. Was fascinating to see the brittle being made by hand and to be able to talk to with the guy making... More

A family owned and run working factory and shop where everyone is super friendly and keen to explain what they are making and how and about the factory. Their carob coated own made honeycomb is a hit with our family. I've grown to love the owners just from our yearly visits to Coffs. Since the state government removed their signs... More

Whenever we're in the area, which unfortunately isn't too often, we always stop here to fill up with some delicious peanut brittle and carob chocolates. They're open Monday to Saturday, and you can see chocolates being made Monday to Friday. Carobana is unfortunately no longer signposted from the main road, which we discovered today, however it's well worth finding to... More

My wife & I visit and stock up on supplies every time we are in the area. Great friendly staff and ample variety. Make sure you get the carob buds with sugar if you want flashbacks to your school days.
