The hunter valley is a gorgeous area and has so much to offer. Hunter valley gardens are always glorious. There are lots of wineries but also cheese factory, chocolate shop and plenty of great places to eat and stay.

Spend a full day visiting Hunter valley from Sydney city. Take 2.5 hours drive from city to the wine yards. A pleasent drive.
Quite a number of wine yard and I especially like mountview, Lindemann and Tallavera. Both have great scenery and views.
