The National Zoo is great but ensure you participate in the organized tours. They are highly informative and you see animals doing amazing things.

A well laid out zoo that gives the animals lots of space to move. The gardens and paths are well laid out with ramps for mobility challenged guests. Visiting outside of school holidays during the week was a real treat.
