This place is rarely busy and the staff are lovely. It is so interesting to watch whatever coins are being made (the robots are fantastic) that day. You can see a lot in an hour here and it is easy to park!

I remember going here as a child myself but I was a little disappointed in how exciting it was for the kids -boring only need a quick hr here. Worth a look but don't stress if you miss it.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We encourage visitors with kids to watch our robots at work, strike a coin on our gallery press, and to investigate our new interactive multimedia screens and coin magnifiers.

Unfortunately there is no minting on the weekend. Would be great to have some minimal activity so the public could experience the making of coins.

Its ok for a short visit, gives you a history of coins and the manufacturing process. Thats about it for the mint.

Thought this would be rather dull but was pleasantly surprised. Missed the tour but illuminating display on history of currency in Australia.
