I love gardens and flowers but I have to admit to being a slightly disappointed. The tulips were mostly great but unfortunately the inclement weather had spoiled some of the beds. Nothing you can do about the weather but there didn't seem to be much in the way of design in the flower beds themselves, just various squares with different... More

Floriade as its mame suggests is where we expect to be exposed to flowers! And yes its such a beautiful collection of tulips and other flowers. As I have a little child we always love to use the open-roof double decker free shuttle bus which takes us to the floriade. It runs on a schedule from civic and is easy... More

Not really a nature person, but I really enjoyed the experience. It was interesting to see the hard work people put in for events like this. Would recommend.

Don't get me wrong, stunning flowers. But when all is said and done the ensemble of food stalls, market style entertainment and flower beds doesn't really amount to a better spectacle than the nature that's on Canberra's doorstep. We were possibly lacking the zen mindset required to fully appreciate the event.

Very interesting even though you might not a a keen gardener or flower enthusiast. Well presented and a very nice walk on a sunny day.

The Floriade flower festival is a must-see if you are visiting Canberra in Spring. It is a great little event. The tulips on display are amazing; they stretch in an endless line and recreate a bit of Holland for you! There are several curio shops that sell cottage industry stuff from home-made soaps, perfumes, essential oils, massage wheat bags, and... More

Use to be fantastic. Hasnt been there for a few years and went back this year. The displays were smaller, and bereft of flowers. Really disappointing.

Every year even though the theme changes, large beds planted largely with tulips mean that unless one is on the Ferris wheel, which is expensive in my book, it is hard to make out the planting patterns. I think it is time that Floriade became more creative. Maybe even a Chinese Tea Garden and Japanese Bonsai Garden, a maze ,... More

I've been to Floriade alone and as a couple and both times was beautiful. It's a lovely day's stroll through the flowers. Bring a hat and sunscreen and sun glasses. It's not too strenuous and children would love it. Well worth the trip if you're in Canberra at the time of Floriade.
