Floriade is a Spring garden display held in Canberra each September. It has become a favourite for locals and visitors. It's set up in Commonwealth Park where walkways lead you through colourful displays of tulips, daffodils and a vast range of other bulbs. After visiting the Chelsea Flower Show I would rate Floriade as high a standard for experiencing and... More

I loved the colourful sea of tulips, the walk around the sculptures and the variety of stalls & kiosks. A breath-taking experience that pleases all ages.

I was so excited to finally get to Floriade but what a disappointment! While the displays were beautiful and some of the talks were interesting it was sooo sain mall!! 2 1/2 hours and we had seen the lot. I thought it was much bigger and hence the disappointment. I would not fly down again for Floriade however if I... More

I go every year and there's an element of sameness however the display is spectacular. If you're coming from out of town your first visit will be amazing. There are some variations each year but generally there's an overwhelming display of tulips, pansies, daffodils and grape hyacinths. There's usually a ferris wheel and the farmyard attraction is great for children.... More

Less crowded on weekdays and during working hours. Bikes and pets not allowed. Bring your camera & ask a Floriade guide to take a picture! Worth taking your time to see all the flowers & displays - it is a year in the planning, 1.4 million bulbs (or so) and only goes for a month. If you can, come several... More

Floriade in Canberra seems to get bigger every year. There are night displays as well as the wonderful daytime displays. There is alsso a lot of interesting stalls and information booths

I can't remember the cost if there was one. I think during the day is free. Gorgeous tulips, plenty to see and eat. See it once and that is enough though.

Seems to shrink every year. But having a walk around the gardens you realise that the number of displays are not what they used to be when it first started.

A well organised event with good parking, although I would recommend arriving early. Entry lines are controlled and move continuously. The event itself is spectacular. Colourful and dense plantings ensure a visual extravaganza. We found the exhibitors with information were helpful and enthusiastic. it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience we will repeat this year
