I was gifted this trip for a milestone birthday and had the most beautiful morning. We were really fortunate the weather was in our favor and meant that we could take flight from Pialligo and landed in a paddock near(ish) to Coppins Crossing.
I cannot comment on the booking process as this was a gift, however the service of all crew from the moment we arrived at the meeting point was absolutely impeccable. The crew were very professional, but fun and easy going. They ensured a special experience for each of the 14 passengers on my flight, getting us involved in the preparation and pack down, taking notice of the celebrations on board, celebrating a safe landing with bubbles and chocolates, and providing comfortable transportation to and from the flight locations.
Our pilot Dave was passionate and enthusiastic, pointing out sights of significance whilst managing the flight & providing an incredibly smooth landing.
Thank you for such a wonderful experience! I would love to fly with you again!

Seem less service from booking to landing. Our pilot Kim as excellent and extremely professional. We did this to celebrate my daughters 21st and it was magic. Rising into the air at dawn in the -3C temp with fog on Lake Burley Griffin below us was unforgettable. Do this and you will feel very special

Decided to head to Canberra for Enlighten & Balloon festival. We certainly weren't disappointed with the balloons, They were fantastic & made for great photography as well especially on Wednesday morning when Canberra turned on a magnificent morning just for the balloons. Weather is a determining factor as to whether they rise or not which we found out on the glow evening which never eventuated because of the wind.
Disappointing but the entertainment & food made up for it as well as Enlighten being projected on buildings all around the launching area. Certainly worth the visit to Canberra at this time of the year. The highlight Wednesday was certainly T Rex getting off the ground giving everyone there an absolutely spectacular viewing on this monster in the sky.

After several unsuccessful attempts that were cancelled due to weather, bushfires and COVID, thanks to the patience and support of the company we finally had our ride 4 years later!! A fantastic experience, professionally run and thoroughly enjoyable. A big thank you to Kim the pilot, Neil the bus driver and Jenny in the office. Don’t miss it!

The one of the best things you can do is this in Canberra. The different way of the Capital from the sky's. We went over Lake Burley Griffin the stillness of the lake was amazing and seeing the bird life taking off as we passed by. The quietness in the air and the burst of flames now and again was the only thing that you heard except of the gasps of people in the basket when we came across another beautiful landscape view.

We had such a wonderful morning this morning ballooning over Canberra to celebrate my daughters wedding with my family and some very dear friends. The day was stunning. Our pilot Kim and the ground crew were incredibly professional and competent. We felt very safe and it was an experience I’ll never forget- so serene and peaceful. Definitely a tick on the bucket list for me. Make sure you give it a go if you visit Canberra

Horrible Customer Service!
Zero patience in explaining how it works!
I filled out and submitted the form with all the information they requested. The owner called and asked me all the same questions - what's a good phone number, email address, etc.! What was the point of the form then!
Then he got agitated because I was asking questions.
If you run a business for customers then be professional with the customers and show great customer service.
Would never ride with them!

The team at aloft were awesome. From check in to check out they were ultra professional. Kim the pilot got us up and down in one piece. This was a great way to see the sun rise on our anniversary. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a balloon flight.

The most wonderful morning, taking a flight during the Canberra Balloon Festival.
From beginning to end, the friendly and professional staff worked hard to ensure we had an amazing experience. Our pilot Dave, made sure we could relax and enjoy the flight with his calm competent manner and skill. Would recommend this trip to anyone

Absolutely fantastic experience loved every minute and staff absolutely fantastic and funny. Will come back and do the balloon spectacular on my next visit. Couldn’t ask for a better way to spend my birthday

Is there a weight limit for passengers?

Hi Emma J,
These is no weight limit although we do ask to be notified if anyone considers themselves particularly heavy. Perhaps over 110kg. We also generally ask approximate weights as all airlines must consider overall loading .
More importantly however is that passengers must be able to get into and out of the basket which has sides about 1.3 metres high. There are steps and we can assist particularly the elderly but being fit enough to stand in the basket for an hour is essential. I hope that helps.

You could talk to Balloons Aloft or the weather bureau about that. When it is really foggy you may not get such good views. And sometimes if its windy the balloons wont take off. But Canberra has a lot of blue sky days in all seasons and the colours vary with the seasons, so its hard to be disappointed! As noted above, you need to have some days either side of your trip in case weather conditions result in a change of flight.
