Went with my husband and 3 children for my birthday. It was a lovely day and the staff were amazing. The captain gave great commentary and was very funny. The poor barista was swamped and struggling with an average milk frother but was very apologetic and worked very hard to get through all the orders as quick as he could. It was a lovely way to spend the morning.

A pleasant way to spend a couple of hours on a (Sunday) morning, cruising around Lake Burley-Griffin at a walking pace, with an interesting commentary on the way. Option of morning tea/coffee +/- muffins on the way, at extra cost. The staff all smiled a lot.

The actual cruise was very nice, but my issue is with poor service from this company. We booked online and preordered the coffee and muffin option,. About halfway through the cruise I went to get our snack, only to be told they had run out of muffins.
The barman took my details and I was told I would be contacted to organise a refund, two weeks later no call and no response to my mail. I am not actually worried about the money, it is the poor service I can’t accept.
So take the cruise, but don’t order the extras.

Definitely the best cruise to do around Lake Burley Griffin as there is plenty of space both inside and outside to watch the sights go by and take plenty of photos. Our boat pulled up alongside the Kingston dock right on time and we were greeted friendly by the crew. Then we were off picking up other passengers along the way and two other locations around the lake. The cruise goes for approx 1.5 hours and the captain gives an exceptional tour of all the history of the lake as well as many of the sights along the way in particular the ones in the central basin area. It was most informative, some little bits of little known information and fun as well. We were most impressed and value for money, being able to be either inside of outside, and a very enjoyable narrative - fantastic cruise and well worth doing.

Booked this cruise with family from interstate to celebrate a 60th birthday. We booked to be picked up at 9.15am on Saturday from Commonwealth Place Jetty. The boat, however, did not stop to pick us up at this time. Instead, the 5 of us watched it sail right past. We had been waiting at the jetty since 8.45am. Why you would not stop to pick up booked passengers is beyond belief. Tried calling the contact number multiple times throughout the day, only to get a machine. Left multiple messages that have not been returned. Also sent an email requesting a refund, still no response. Terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

Had the most wonderful Australia Day sunset dinner cruise. The staff were very friendly. A little understaffed when we set off - one poor barman and a boat load of diners all wanting to get drinks. The Captain was fabulous and most engaging. The food was so much more than I was expecting! I would totally recommend this dinner cruise to anyone - especially with interstate/international guests. My mother (from the UK) is confined to a wheelchair. The staff could not have been more accommodating - very grateful for the assistance they gave us.

Booked and paid for cruise for my family of four. Went to dock as per confirmation email, boat never turned up. Tried calling numerous times, no one answered. Left message with my details on voicemail, no one returned my call. Sent email asking for refund, no reply. Still out of pocket for a cruise that never turned up. Sounds like a scam to me.... I wouldn’t recommend this tour.

I hope you are well. I just wanted to contact you again to apologise for your experience with us.
We are deeply apologetic and take full responsibility for our lack of response. I wish to offer some explanation for our inaction. Unfortunately the club was damaged badly in the hailstorm that tore through Canberra on 20th January and as a result our club was closed for both 20th and the 21st of January due to water and roof damage. Our electricity and phones were off in the office on the Tuesday morning of the cruise which is why we were not able to contact you early enough on the day and I profusely apologise for this. The new receptionist did not know how to log on to our booking system on a laptop or mobile phone to access the day’s bookings in time. I do not know why your email was missed on that day, but again I am deeply apologetic. We are currently working on a better process to contact customers if and when our power goes down.
To compensate for your bad experience, our acting CEO and the yacht club team has offered you a complimentary sightseeing cruise for you and your family for the next time you are in Canberra. These should be in your inbox shortly. The refund for $60 has also been processed on the 26th so it should be in your account shortly.

I wish I could review this cruise, however they have now cancelled on me twice. Both times I had booked well in advance because I had family visiting from out of town. Both times they have cancelled the same morning of the cruise, with very little notice, this time it was less than half an hour ( I know another group was already waiting at the jetty). Yes I got a refund both times but the late notice meant it was too late to book alternatives or make other plans. Very disappointed.

We apologise that this has inconvenienced you and many others that have booked Cruises with us. 2020 has not been kind to us with low water levels in the Lake, Smoke haze from the fires and now COVID 19 restrictions, all of which resulted in regrettable but necessary cancellations. Not what I would recommend. First the good, the staff was nice and friendly. No complaints there. The food .. not great. The Hot Leek Vichyssoise was good, the Coq au Vin was not (so bad, I couldn't eat it). They messed up our order and gave someone else the lamb that was supposed to be ours. The music played was a local radio station and we had ask that it be turned down as it was too loud. 3 hours was just too long. The lake is not that big and we just kept going in circles. By the 3rd time we passed Queen Elizabeth Terrace, I wanted to jump overboard. Sorry, but disappointing.
