The pond and the underground tunnel are not large, but it is cute and you can see many different species. The catfish on the very bottom is really huge. Honestly I just like underwater attractions be it grand museum of ship Great Britain in Bristol or this small tunnel. There is also a swimmable pond without fish next to the fish pond. The botanical garden on the very bottom is honestly not very impressive... What really got me is the staff attitude. I got confused by the map and exited through the entrance. The lady selling tickets noticed this, "caught" me a few meters outside and told me that by exiting through the entrance I missed the second half of the garden and the cows, which I indeed did. She told me that if I want to see the second part she will let me enter through staff only gate next to the exit. That's really great attitude.

After seeing some bulletins we decided to visit this aquarium- were not disappointed , offers lots of possibilities to see variety of fishes swimming above and next to you. There are some activities going inside and possibilities to swim in the natural biotope outside in summer. Would highly recommend for families with children.

Have you ever wondered what is the view from the bottom of river or lake? In Ziva voda I found our what is the answer. On 3 floors you have unique chance to take a look into the pond next to the building through glass and through underwater tunnel. It's not just water, they have plenty of fishes there including 25kg carp, big russian sturgeons and even giant belugas - biggest freshwater fishes that can be more than 8 meters long. During summer it's even possible to bath in next small pond (only small fishes there) and around whole area is botanical garden with local plants described.

We went to this attraction that is just behind the hotel and restaurant at Skanzen. We paid 200 CZK for the family admission, but we felt that it was a big waste. The tunnel they have to see the fish isn't really a tunnel. You do walk under the pond where they have fish but it is a dead end. The rest of the attraction is just a bunch painted images on walls about fish in the area. Don't waste your time or money here. The only thing that made any worth to visiting this place is that the kids were able to add another sticker to their Tourist Diary.

The underwater tunnel is the main attraction at Ziva Voda where one can see at very close range a number of differently sized fish species floating around. This tunnel is then very visible once one walks around the pond area,an open and naturally set recreational area. When we visited this place it was a sunny and fine day and small children truly enjoyed playing around the cool water at the shallow end of the pond.
We were given a guide booklet in English to help us tour this place but all the explanatory signs on site were in Czech only.

If you want an easy activity for approx. 1 hour - this one is the right for you. It’s a nice complex explaining the life systems under and above water of Czech ponds and carp ponds. The most attractive part surely is the underwater tunnel, but there are also other interesting things. For our kids it were ‘petting acquarium’ with smaller fish and turtles and also further part of pond that is shelf and available for swimming (or just quick refresh for your feet). Walk around the pond is very nice, with seats in the shadows. The visit is quite informative if you speak Czech, but even if not, it’s very nice easy trip.

This place offers 3 levels of entertainment - simulating the natural system. The top exposition consists of birds and animals living near water also discribing different fishing equipment, level down was most fun for kids - the famous tunnel quite unique in its setting - split in 2 half offering shallow and running fresh water fish tank, the other side where you can see the deep water fish. I was mesmerised and truthfully shocked to see the biggest fresh water belugas and sturgeon swimming by. The lowest level of exhibition offers views of the bottom of lakes with catfish and alike. It was a bit dark there (scary for little kids) but overall very enjoyable. Also you can take a stroll around the exposition outside, viewing it 'from the top' and there is a small swimming pond too. Great for kids - much appreciate activities at the top level with microscope - that was a winner :)

An interesting place, where different aspects of nature come together! The most fascinating thing is this underwater tunnel, and all the fishes!
