About
The outstanding architecture and the attractively conceived exhibition, combining contemporary AV technology with traditional museum displays across an area of over 500 m2, has granted the public access to the most important findings that scientific research into the locality has discovered. Although the presentation does not overlook the fascinating history of the excavations, primary focus is given to the actual material and spiritual world of our forebears, showing not only the original stone tools and bone implements used in everyday life, but also artistic artefacts; attention is given to topics such as hunting, everyday life in the settlement, art and rituals as well as burial and magic. The most valuable finds are highlighted, these include the actual skeletons of the people themselves and evidence of new technology.

Very nice and well organised Archeo park. It is small but well done, great for children. The storage of mammoth bones is amazing. Yes, many of exposed artefacts are copies but still it gives a very good picture of the life of mammoth hunters.

Excellent modern archaeological exhibition showing long paleolitical history of the region. You can not miss the part in situ exposition of mammoth and other animal bones old over 30 000 yars. Very good for families with kids.

With the knowledge here this could be expanded much more.
Its all in one hall but wasnt expensive to get in so I feel it was worth the visit
Most artifacts are copies but this is only because the originals were bombed in the war and luckily they took photos of the originals.
Very interesting about the Mammoths but need a little something extra to bring more people.
All the staff I spoke to here could speak good English and they had leaflets in English
I would recommend visiting

I think the money spent on the museum by its owners went into the architecture, not the exhibitions.
Sure, we enjoyed the TV educational segments on local neolithic life and the discovery and excavation of the site, but that's it.
A real shame that almost every item on display was a copy only.

Excellent archaeological work deserves a better presentation than videos and copies of old finds. Disapointed.

Small museum with some interesting artefacts. The whole exhibition is in one small hall, nothing outside.

We loved the architecture and the introductory short film. A few interactive panels were a nice touch. What I particularly disliked was, that most of the artifacts were copies, even the ones found in the region. I guess they have a reason for it ( didn’t find out what it is) and it did give a little context to the original mammut bones at the end of the exposition, but it still kind of felt dissapointing - I always like to think about how an object was held by another human being 30thousand years ago, but copies kind of kill the vibe.

We went by local bus from Mikulov on recommendation of our B&B. Really liked the building design and an interesting set of finds (some replicas, including the Venus of Vestonice as well as some original finds in situ) Coffee stall outside very friendly too.
