There is incredible number of cemeteries in Ypres and its neighborhood and it is definitely not possible to visit them all if you only come for a few days. They all look the same at the first glance but each one has something special which...More

As with all the CWGC cemeteries, beautifully looked after and very moving. We went to see the grave of John Condon (reported in places as being the youngest casualty of WW1, but it seems this may not be the case), but all the same still...More

I visited this cemetery while I was in Flanders on business in November. I was actually here on the 11th and I was blown away by the sheer size of it. It’s not one of the famous ones but it is well worth a visit...More

One of very many Commonwealth War Grave cemeteries in Flanders, this one is as beautifully kept as the rest. Noted for having the youngest casualty of WW1 within (Private CONDON - 14yrs), I went to find Private Ephraim Wakefield of the York and Lancaster Regiment....More

You must visit to see the grave of the youngest soldier to die in WWI. Pte John CONDON, Royal Irish Regiment.

The cemetery is by the side of a main road but parking can be tight if there are many visitors. Visit the grave of Private John CONDON, Royal Irish regiment. His is listed as being 14 years oold. There are some who may dispute this...More

Tidy well kept cemetery not too far from Varlet farm B&B and the village of Poelcapelle, only minutes on a cycle. As with most of the cemeteries, there's parking space. Very quiet on the morning of my visit.

A very cleverly done museum not to be missed, the trenches part of the museum do not display the situation at the front, a hard thing to recreate.
