I believe at the beginning idea was great - to build something nationally meaning. But....... it turned to rundown place with careless territory which is not well maintained. Broken monuments Dirty water in canal Useless wooden chairs (or something alike) at the seeing platform Useless place at the main ornament - no concerts or events can be held there. The walkway is not build professionally. Generally feel like you are on exhibition of unfinished building place which was left untreated years ago. The most beautiful place was parking space - and it cost 2eur. I do not see future in this place I definitely do not recommend to go there as it is absolutely not worth spending your time. Better just visit Koknese ruins and afterwards spend your time somewhere else.

Nowadays in our world we are common with fast projects and speed is one of modern life threats. Here in Likteņdārzs is possible to see slowly developing project with trees which must grow, personalized stone pavements expanding day by day. In general amazing place for small fee. Good place for bikers, or as a point on daily trip around Koknese. Be careful in sunny day, there is little shadow. For visitors free wi-fi is available everywhere around. Car parking is spacious and well made.

Work in progress, so still a lot of improvement needed, but an interesting idea. The park is right on the river side with beautiful views. Calmness and nature all around. The entrance as such is free, but you have to pay for car park (2 EUR without time limit) and the donations are welcome.

Almost ever Latvian has relatives (or close friends, or neighbours) that have suffered during different occupation regimes in Latvia. To remember them, Latvians are creating this beautiful garden next to Daugava river. This garden will be a present to the Republic of Latvian on its 100th annaversary in 2018, but already now there is plenty to see: fabulous landscapes everywhere (to Koknese castle ruins, Koknese Lutheran Church, river Daugava). If one has relative that also has suffered because of occupation regime, it is possible to plant a tree in memory of this person in this Garden of Destiny.
