Came over from Nottingham, last night - for the Catfish gig.
What a cracker of a pub/gig venue. Bloody loved it. Great atmosphere, great friendly staff, great beer, & a fun vibe. It felt very inclusive wide range of people & groups in there, & it felt lovely. Loved every second. Hopefully back very, very soon

This was one of the best pubs in Newark and certainly on the to go back to on our next visit here. Fantastic selection of ales and a good live music venue. We felt really comfortable here as well.n

Rip off price of soft drinks. Rude staff. Rubbish music much better pubs round corner. When commented on price of a coke landlord basically told us to get lost.

The Flying Circus is a quirky pub in Newark. The place is a great venue for live music.

Have been going in the flying circus for a couple of years mostly on a Saturday lunch time with friends or with my good lady . This particular Saturday I was met by the landlord as I entered the pub he said “ you cannot eat in here.”I was carrying a small box that resembled the appearance of a small pizza box . I replied “I wasn’t planning on eating anything”. His rely was the smell would ruin the ambiance of pub . He had no idea of the contents of the plane box only presumed that it carried a cooked pizza . Wrong in every aspect. Never embarrass your customers in front of others .

An older pub brought to life by experienced Newark publicans with a modernising revamp. Fairly fixed range of real ales. Still developing with food added and live music too.

the wife and I cant recommend this place enough. massive selection of beer all available in little measures. we order 5-6 and sit and while away an afternoon in front of the fire reading the paper....
