Visited here with only a couple of hours free. What a shame we only had two hours as you could easily lose a day here with the great selection of aircraft - added to which the entry price is incredibly reasonable. Made all the better with a fantastic husband and wife volunteer team covering cockpit tours in Hangar One on the day we visited - I have never seen our thirteen year old son so engaged (with something that does not plug in) with their talks around the cockpit and fielding his constant questions with such knowledge and patience. Also great cafe to warm us up on a cold December day. Fabulously stocked shop on the way out. An absolute gem and well worth a visit.

If you have no transport, there is No bus to the Museum gates, a bit dodgy bus drop on the A46, best getting the bus to Coddington then walking the mile to the Museum. Very helpful at the ticket shop. Easy to walk round, very interesting, spent a good 2 hours looking at exhibits. A good cafe.

It's a good museum with a wide variety of British planes (Lightning, Shackleton, Sea Vixen, and so on) and ones from different countries such as the Saab Drakken and Viggen, and Dassault Mystere IV. They also have the nicest looking outdoor Vulcan that I've seen. I did not try out their cafe, but that looked to be a good setup.

That being said, there were times where it felt like they tried to cram too many aircraft in one area, and other times where they kept you so far away from the planes that you really couldn't enjoy them (such as the Saab Viggen). Also, being asked if you paid for admission while you're browsing the store is kind of off-putting. Maybe they need to employ stickers or something that makes it easy for the employees to know who's paid and who's not.

Very well presented Museum all the exhibits were well presented with informative panels explaining each exhibit. All the planes are beautifully clean and you can see the staff work really hard to keep them looking good. We met a number of Ex RAF personnel at the museum who really brought the collection to life with their stories and descriptions. The team deserve your support so please visit if you are near I am sure you will like us have a really nice time. PS look out for the Red Barrows !

The museum was well worth visiting and value for money. Thank you to the volunteers (mainly the older generation) who have given their time and effort to make this an enjoyable attraction. The exhibits were interesting and varied. Though chronological data was missing in a few cases. COVID measures were safely in place and requests for masks to be worn in the shop, cafe and hangars were clearly on display to visitors. Sadly, the majority of visitors ignored these requests. Although face masks are not mandated by law it is such a shame that when requested to do so on entering buildings that some people (who can easily wear face masks) do not respect these wishes.

Had intended to visit here for years and finally got here on a group visit which meant we had a guide. Howard was superb, knowledgeable on all levels factual detail and the human aspects including how the aircraft got to the museum. He is a volunteer and a great example of how enthusiastic volunteers enhance the museum experience. There are many outside exhibits, but also a couple of hangers chock full of aircraft. If you don’t have a guide there are plenty of labels. The cafe is very competitively priced and the tea is excellent. Could easily have spent another couple of hours here and so will have to come again.

More here than I was expecting, as a lot of the exhibits are outside we appreciated the good weather. The information about exhibits is very limited, but we used our phones to google extra information.

A nice collection at this small museum, but the interpretation panels and exhibits could offer more. Sadly, the overall impression of this museum was negatively impacted by the unfriendly staff member encountered at reception. Unsure if this is a volunteer led museum, but having visited the De Havilland Museum which is staffed almost entirely by volunteers and is exceptionally warm, welcoming and friendly, having a volunteer staff team should not be an excuse for an unwelcoming reception. I would be unlikely to revisit in future due to the encounter.
